marywhite52
Hi..I am mixing gb444 and igi4627 at a 70/30 ratio. I was just wondering at what temp would anyone suggest to pour? I poured at 160 degrees into slightly warm jars, but had a slight dip in the middle. Is this normal for those that use it? I really love this combo...it is smooth and seems to burn well, much better than the 444 by itself. Any suggestions? TIA...
geekrunner
When blending your own parasoy, you'll always get the "dip" in the middle, not a big worry. Just a quick shot from the heat gun smooths it out. When I was blending 415 and J50, I poured it at about 150, but not any cooler or it turned to jelly. You're probably OK to pour at 160.Question: how is adhesion when you pour like that? I had adhesion issues, and abandoned blending in favor of pre-blended KY parasoy.geek
marywhite52
Geekrunner...Glad to hear the dip is normal.... I get great adhesion, hardly any wet spots at all. Love the look of this blend for that reason. I'll try the heat gun tip, thanks! I was getting really frustrated with the frosting, sink holes, etc. with 444 soy by itself. This blend takes care of all those issues. Also, thanks to Jami on this board for sharing her knowledge about this combination !!! Love it!!!
