Turkey Red Oil/Honey Bath Syrup question...

Recommended Posts

Ok...never used Turkey Red Oil before and am trying to make the Honey Bath Syrup...my question...is the Turkey Red Oil suppose to have such a strong odor?? I'm trying to cover the scent up with fo...but I'm still smelling that smell. I just got the Turkey Red Oil in about 2 weeks ago.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks!!!!!!

Yup, it's strong. Kinda nasty isn't it :) If you don't like TRO, you can try something else - blend another oil with PS80 to get the water soluability that TRO gives you. Or find some other kind of PEG-type oil, which is also water soluable.

I've tried a couple of vendors and they all smelled pretty strong.

Wish I could get over that smell!! I'll have to do this with some of my stronger scents...maybe that will help!! :D I did it in Madagascar Vanilla Orchid...great scent...just not strong enough to cover up the icky scent. I'll try and get over the scent and at least try it in the bath to see how it feels.

Thanks for responding Robin!! I was hoping it just wasn't me!!
