Could you take a sharp knife and shave some of the excess off the areas where it is too thick, then heatgun to smooth it? I wouldn't think it would be saleable, but you might could improve it some for your own tastes that way...I also wonder if those embeds will show up better once the candle is burned and the flame lights it from within...
