MysticalMomma
I got some linen spray from Millcreek.. I can't get the FO to mix into it.. Once I mix it and put it in the bottle, within 5 minutes, you can see the FO sitting on the sides of the bottle.. Works great if you keep shaking it..lolCan someone tell me how to mix it, where it all blends together? I thought I was adding to much FO, but if I add any less, it smells like rubbing alcohol.. Meridith
You'll need to add an emulsifyer. Here's a link:http://www.thesage.com/catalog/Additives.html
MysticalMomma
I didn't know that.. Thanks for the link!
Kymber
i use Millcreek's and have never had a problem. I think I would contact them and see what they say. Have you tried a different FO? Maybe it just that particular one?
Gypsyjen
I use the Millcreek base and mix the FO with an equal amount of Polysorbate 20 before adding it to the base, then shake it up. It works great for keeping the FO in solution.
MysticalMomma
I don't think it's the FO.. I have tried 3 of them and they all do it.. Cinnamon, Downy, and Amaretto..
funkymonkey66
Pick up the "Modifier" from ICS. It works great and is priced very fair. Instructions are under the product.Merry Christmas
Jooniper
I am not currently using Millcreek but have in the past and had no problems mixing my fragrance oils. I have a new base and I heat it before adding the FO and it combines quite nicely. Maybe that will work with Millcreek too
MysticalMomma
I never thought about heating it.. I'm gonna give that a try.. Thanks!
dovestudios
I looked at the ingredients of the millcreek spray base and alcohol is the second ingredient. I would not heat it. The alcohol is acting as both a mild emulsifier as well as a preservative. If you heat it, the alcohol will evaporate, comprimising your preservation system as well as throwing off the ingredients list. Aside from that, it is not safe to heat alcohol IMO.Your best bet would be to use polysorbate 20 in equal amounts to the fragrance oil.Donna
