Lightning Bug
Are all zincs low smoke or is this a special kind? I've read about people using low smoke ones and not sure exactually what they are. Any info would be appreciated. TIA. Beth
bugsb1
LS zinc wicks are a special type of zinc wick, I buy mine from wholesale supplies plus. I know I've read different reviews about comparisons. Some people swear by them some hate them. I finally tried them last month and really enjoyed them. I found them to be a little more predictable in my waxes, love the flame quality, however, very very small shrooms, however like any wick if you don't keep it trimmed, wick too high, or don't burn it properly, you'll still get smoke and shrooms, I'm going to try them some more but so far it looks as though I'm going to switch. Hope this helps
Grumpy Girl
I love 'em. I just wish I could get them at a place that didn't rape you for shipping like WSP does.
sharyl55
I love them too, unfortunately WSP is the only place carrying them. I have only used them in containers. They generally burn a little hotter than a comparable zinc wick.

beautifulfeetcandles
Has it always been this bad on freight charging? I know eBay sellers have become notorious for this. 13-15 dollars to ship a freaking feather.

ah-soy
Well, I ordered and tested the low smoke zincs from WSP and in my 70/30 soy/para blend I did get perfect melt pools but also got mushrooms the size of dimes and the afterglow and smoke at blow out was horrid! Two thumbs way down for me. Guess they may work in other types of wax?
Grumpy Girl
Yup, every wax is different. Mine love them.
