sc-candleman Posted November 19, 2006 Share Posted November 19, 2006 Last night I made a "White Russian". I used heavy gel with vanilla scent. I poured the gel into a cake pan about 1/2 " deep and placed the pan into my fridge. When the gel solidified I cut it into cubes that resembled small ice cubes.Then I melted some soy wax and colored it light brown and scented it chocolate.I set my prewaxed wick in a rocks glass and filled the glass about 2/3 full.I had to let the soy cool a bit, just enough to get a film on the surface. Then I dropped (placed) the "ice cubes" in the soy mixture. I had a wick stick across the top of the rocks glass to hold it firmly in place.I cut a straw in half and put it over the wick and left it on the bar. Fooled about six of my friends.I'm looking for ideas to make other "drink" candles. I've made margaritas and martinis. Any suggestions would be welcome.
