diamondk
I am going to make some castile soap. 90% olive oil and 10% castor today. I am figuring I will have to heat these oils up a little so the lye water and oils will be the same temperature. Is this right? TIA
cindym
Yes I would lightly heat them, very lightly, mix you lye and let it cool for 30 mins and then lightly heat the oils.
Trejen
I use mine at room temperature. I've not had to heat up my oils before hand if its just the olive and castor. But, my room is pretty consistent with heat/cold. I just let my lye water get below 100 and I'm good to go.
