MeAndMyPuppyDog
Anyone know how I can take a candle, say 1.5" wide and get a 7/8" peg (so it fits in a standard holder) on the bottom. Do any of the supply houses have any kind of gizmo? Thanks!
BruceCarvesWax
Standard taper holder.. right? It depends on if you need it scented or not. They have candle shapers but that just cuts down the size of the bottom to make them fit... not nice looking but it works. They also have the ones that are heated that can melt and form a bottom if a taper is too thick which might work also. If I wanted something like that I would make a taper candle to use as the center of the 1.5 inch candle (wicked for 1.5 inch diam) and pour around it. Maybe you could just have a silicone mold made too?Bruce
Janette
This link will take you to Candlewic's base formers http://candlewic.com/Store/Search.aspx?keyword=base+formerI don't think these will work for a candle the diameter you are referring to but thought you might like to see these anyway. They are used for dipped tapersJanette
Everito Bandito
There's a "candle shaper" on this page - scroll about 2/3rds of the way down the page. http://www.candlechem.com/equipment.htmDon't know if it's good for 7/8ths though. I guess you could call them and ask. HTH
