Devil Woman
Hi Everyone,I am new to the board and have a queston to ask all of you soap makers. I have been making candles for about 7 years, 3 years ago I bought WaxCocoon (a Candle Making Embed business that has almost doubled in size) I am now getting into the soap making. My question is what are the soap embeds made from? I am considering adding a soap embed section to WaxCocoon so any advise or information any of you can give me would be greatly appreciated.TIA to all of you,Devil WomanOwner of WaxCocoonwww.waxcocoon.com
Peachdream
Most of the embeds I use for my MP are made of soap (curls, shapes etc), but its common for people to use things such as silk petals, plastic ducks, erasers. For melt and pour you can use anything that won't rot in a moist environment. I'm sure a lot of your candle embeds would fit that description too. I'm not sure if the CP soap makers use many embeds but hopefully one of those ladies will add their comments.
SoapySue
I agree with Peachdream, just wanted to add if you are making MP soap embeds for other soapers, watch those colors that bleed and migrate.~Susan
