snow
I bought a mold and insert to make a cane with fall silk leaves, well when I did it, the inside of the cane looks better than the outside, so I need to know how to get the leaves closer to the outside of the mold. I hope that makes sense. Maybe I'm not putting enough leaves, could that be it? It's like the insert is not pressing them against the mold enough. And I bought the recommended size insert for the mold, and I'm using 5055 wax, like Donita said to do for canes. I e-mailed her but I don't know if she has her pc yet. Thanks for your help, Dee
marika
SnowAre you placing the leaves on the outside mold before you pour?Mari
snow
I'm placing the insert into the mold and then placing the leaves around and then pouring slowly and leaving the insert in place, putting it into the water bath and raising the insert slowly
marika
SnowTry this...Dip your leaves in the wax and quickly place them on the inside wall of the OUTER mold. A cold wet cloth held in place on the outside of the mold should make them stick. Put your insert in and then pourMari
