gingerinarkansas
I have some Christmas tree ice trays. Do you need to spray them with anything before pouring wax in them? I made some tonight and some wax didn't come out. How do I clean them? Ginger
ajl
I have some of the IKEA ice cube trays and a few other flexible ones and I've never had a problem with anything sticking in them.I clean them by pouring just boiled water over them, makes them like new again, but be carefull when pouring
Sally
I have some flexible rubber star shaped ice cube moulds & have found some just will not come out whole. I think it's more to do with the actual shape of the mould than the wax, tho I am using ecosoya p.b & it can be a bit fragile at times.I have other shaped ice cube moulds which work fine & I've never had to spray them with anything.Putting the tray in the fridge to set nice & hard helps release them too.Sally. gingerinarkansas
Mine are nicely detailed Christmas trees and most of the sticking was done up toward the top of the tree where it's tiny. I'll stick them in frig this morning to see if that helps pop the extra out. Ginger
Janette
Ginger- try giving them a shot of Pam, then wipe the excess out. I do this with my floater moulds and find it helps a great deal with release. Janette
