eugenia Posted August 12, 2005 Share Posted August 12, 2005 See if you can get some lard. Most supermarkets sell it, in the dairy section. You don't have enough hard oils listed. Yes, the plug in the batch size you want, then the percentages of oils and the values for water and lye are calculated for you when you hit "calculate". The overall iodine number in the top left corner shows the hardness of the finished bar for that recipe. You don't want a number higher than the low seventies.
