funnygirl
Hello everyone! I just recently switched from J223 to a soy blend for my container candles. I have also decided to add some votives and tarts to my line. I was looking at going 100% soy or soy blend for these. I have just a couple of questions. If I go 100% soy on my tarts/votives, is there still a cure time like with soy container candles? If so, how long? Any recommendations on wax? I dont mind a repour on votives, but would prefer to not have to add aditives. Any help will be appreciated, as I am a complete newbie to votives and tart making. TIA! babyrn
I use 100% soy for my votives and tarts. Sometimes I add just a little beeswax to harden them up a bit. I've only used EZ Soy and it tends to be on the soft side so they get dented and scuffed pretty easy. I let them cure atleast 2 days, but like the containers, the longer the stronger. I never have to do a repour when using 100% soy.
