Cami
OK... I'm working on a facial scrub for a spa, and in need of some input....I started out just blending some brown sugar, honey, and glycerine. It is a nice scrub, however, after a few hours the top turns into a milky white cream. The sugar descends to the bottom of the container. I added the glycerine to make it less thick so I can actually apply it without it being too dry... Does anyone know why I am getting this cream on top??? Does anyone have any experience making a facial scrub with honey and has been successful with this product???I am in serious need of assistance with this one.. I have no idea what kind of a reaction I am gettting.. But I've had this happen to me in the past with honey and oats blends as well...Any help would be much appreciated.. ThanksCami
cindym
The only thing that I can suggest is that you emulsify the scrub, the honey and glycerin are rising to the top and the sugar is sinking to the bottom. You also need a preservative for this scrub.
