VictoriaBee
I've been testing and getting ready to run again - using a box of C-1 I bought from Genwax last year. I blend the C-1 with a little palm and J50 and it makes the most beautiful burning candle in my 4" apothecary jars. Then a got a new box of C-1 and its much whiter than my old C-1 and it isn't performing the same. The melt pool seems thicker and there are bubbles in it. And I need to wick up now - which means going back and testing all of the scents I previously tested and approved. A nightmare for a candle maker Here's the response from Genwax:Good morning Vicki,The C 1 absorbs moisture when the weather is cooler. The product that you received is fresh soy that's one of the reasons why the the color is light. When the soy is in storage for a few months it drys and changes color. You can spread the soy wax so it may dry and that will help. Please keep in mind that its a vegetable wax and as vegetables they absorb moisture but once they start to age they start to dry out.Hope the information was helpful.Best regards,IrisGeneral Wax & Candle Co.(818)765-6357Has anyone else found that what was suggested works in this issue? Thanks -Vicki
