  1. I would definatly hire someone to do your taxes. When starting a business you should always do 2 things... talk to a laywer and talk to an accountant. Money well invested and not that expensive. An attorney will tech you how to get creative selling products through your home like getting a po box or virtual office and setting up a .com and running everything through the website and your po box as opposed to your home address.

  2. if she doesnt renew until april that godaddy may keep that name for up to another year. People dont understand that part of it. If someone doesnt renew in april that doesnt mean the name is available. They will first hold it for between 30-60 days to wait and make sure it wasnt an oversite then which means they have already renewed it for another year. Then they will sell it back to the original owner after 30 days for more money if it was an oversight or get rid of it if they can but the fact is godaddy probably pays about .25 for a domain name if that.

  3. A good rule of thumb is - if you didnt make the graphic yourself or buy a license to resell that image commercially - you cant. Usually with any image you buy you in a software package etc it is good for your personal use and usually for your website etc. but not for a website you sell.

  4. I would suggest a different extention or a kozyaromas but wouldnt recomend the - hyphen - simply because it will limit your advertising down the road. here is the info for the owner if you wish to contact them about selling it. it just got moved to godaddy on dec 10th. so they either just bought it or maybe went belly up or are having a site done. It may be worth asking maybe the website didnt pan out but they wanted it to park at godaddy for free instaed of paying for hosting. I myself would do cozyaromasonline.com

  5. You would probably do good because a home and garden show is no construction. So you will have the "wives" with the hubbies. If you go fins omeone with a nice display such as a fireplace co pr hpt tub co and give them some free candles to burn with your literature and take some of theres to put in your booth. they may not buy the hottub but you can bet if it smells good when their talking to the sales guy they are coming to buy the candle.

  6. I am REALLY looking for a good way to keep orders organized. I am only internet right now- so I print them off and then the system breaks down! LOL I have orders all over the place and no real system for keeping them organzied. What do you do?

Maybe you should look into a shopping cart that will allow you to export into a database format. Thats what we do and export to quickbooks. It helps with the orgnanization and taxes etc. It will also help when a customer told you they ordered something a couple of months ago and loved it and they think you are supposed to remember. With the db you can tell someone everything they ever ordered, print labels invoices and statements easily track inventory etc etc etc.

  7. Depending on the size you could have someone do a high resolution graphic and then work with a local printer to you in order to make sure it is what you want. Depends if you want just a text banner or graphics on it.

  8. Start adjustong your website now if you have customers. Tell them something like "due to continued growth you will be meging with ---- after the newyear" so you can ease them into it. Alot of people have different views on name changes etc. they think the old bus went belly up or you are going to make crappier products or there must be some reason other than the real reason things are changing. people are a creature of habbit and it is better to ease them into change. Dont just redirect a website without an explanation that it is gonna happen or they will click the browser off it isnt what they are used to.

  9. OK in a few short words heres the plan. I really like the show "Random 1" on A7E. There is something about just helping domeone for no reason. So this is the pkan, make a gift basket that would cost you no more than 5 dollars or so maybe less. Tommorrow take the basket with you on your travels whether work or errands or shopping etc. Make sure your products are labeled good with your name and website etc. Now, give that basket to anyone who looks like they are having a bad day. Just pick someone. I have been trying this and I like the outcome. Who would have guessed, But I will tell you if you find a person who has list all faith and tell them that you want them to have the basket just because they look like the could use a little cheering up they will in turn tell every single person they know what a "bizarre" thing happened to them today when they were at the end of their rope. If you can afford it try it and see what I am talking about.

  10. I do the same thing when printing and packing at night and schedule for the next day but sometimes the mail lady doesnt have the info. Sometimes she comes to the door and sometimes it goes the next day after it was supposed to. Another thing is the usps tracking system is a joke. It will say information recieved electronically until it is delivered then it will say its been delivered. UPS will destry your crap but their tracking system rocks. It will tell you everything except the guys name thats playing kickball with your package LOL.

  11. Thats why I would never backorder a domain. If me you him and her all backorder a domain its just a price war waiting to happen. IUnstead I have a trusty expired domain finder. I plug in certain words etc and search for when it is available. I also check experations of .com under 6 characters with no hypens. I am a domain ho we have hundreds. But I would have given it to you chaeper but prairie is right that is cheap on the domain hording side of things.

  12. When I was young my mother sold avon and tri-chem (some paint in a tube) And tupperware. She had the best UPS guy named howie, she would always have eithger something hot or cold waiting for him and ironically enough he would always show up at dinner time. She would make hium a plate to take and he would always bring it back clean LOL. I am sure he was busy but he was never rude or disrespectful nomatter how busy.

  13. theBohnen has a good point. I usually use photoshop for customers labels and for web I use about 76 to 96 dpi. For print ones I use between 150 to 300 dpi. I usually go more with 300 if there computers can handle the larger size files and I havent had anyone tell me they dont print nice. If you do feel it is the printer though I prefer hp simply because even know the ink is a little more expensive the printhead is on the ink cartridge so when you get new ink you get a new print head. HTH

  14. Now to answer your question, usually they allow you to upload your banner, usually you click a button that says browse or something similar and then it opens a new window showing your hard drive go to my documents and click the file and tell it ok, it will then upload the banner. If not maybe the want a web address or url for the banner in whick case you have to upload ot to your site and provide the url to the location of the banner. HTH

  15. I poured the 444 at 145 and had no sink holes in 8oz jj not preheated. I poured the 449 at 140 same jars had crack that was a hidden sinkhole but it heatgunned right out. I had super smooth tops and very good adhesion to the sides as well. Cold throw was not to great though which concerns me.

  16. Only sell them either blank or private label. Meaning with no label or their name on a custom label. This way there is no problem with how they represent "Your" company because it would be their name. It would be a shame to work hard for a good reputation and have someone else ruin it.
