  1. Not too sure either what might have happened, but I have had a yank** candle do that on a warmer. I thought it could have been one of 2 things at the time. 1) It was from me heating, then cooling, then heating etc etc causing stress on the glass. Or 2) it just happened to be a faulty container that slipped through inspection.

Sorry to here it happened to you and your friend!!

  2. I think the hurricane idea would be the most feasible or the one where the candle is made with the cremains but without a wick.

And Whisper Girl --- LOLOLOL I almost spit my tea onto my keyboard :laugh2: And the sad thing is, I could see that accidentally happening with my family!

I agree that this is not a candle to be burned. It is a memory type candle and would hold only a small amount of ash. In fact, I would even consider not putting a wick in it ( so someone does not light it by mistake - hate to come home and find out that visiting Aunt Sue had lit Mom while just trying to be helpful. lol)
  3. That does help quite a bit, thank you! I read the reviews and one person said the same thing as you, but others said they smelled total mint..

I'm going to go to BBW this weekend to get some stuff for Christmas so I'll get my own to smell lol

You'll fall in love with it! I think the people who smelled strong mint are thinking of their Chocolate Mint. That is the flip of Dark Chocolate Mint, with the mint being the predominant fragrance with the choc secondary. The Chocolate Mint is green and the Dark Choco Mint is brown. You'll love them both!! :) Please post if you are able to closely dupe the scent of the DCM! Good luck!
