  1. SoapNCandles' Lemon Slice is the best "real" lemon scent of all I've tried. And it is strong in CP soap or in B&B stuff or container wax. I also have some BCN's Lemon Pucker and it's nice, but SNC is the best! Smells just like true sliced lemons.

  2. Well, I couldn't wait cause I was in the mood -- and soaped it last night. I should have waited for your reply LOL. It started ricing on me as soon as I added it. I thought I got it pretty smoothed out, but I just peeked at it and looks like it has lumps. Guess it will be a rebatch for me too. But, oh, the scent is wonderful.

  3. So sorry that happened. Lovey is such a "lovely" scent LOL. If you want to try another one, I just did a batch with Scent Works Lovely. I soaped at low temps, had no A or D and plenty of time to play with it. That mosaic idea is awesome. I hope you can salvage your batch.

  4. I use CME and yes, it does give you a clear spray. That said, I did have one that turned a little bit yellowish from the FO. I don't think the spray is heavy or oily. I use half distilled water and half aloe vera juice and add a bit of FCO. I do have to add a lot more CME than is stated in order to get it emulsified properly and clear. But it does work well for me and my customers love it.

  5. I use waterproof labels too and print my own. I use Avery Design Pro so I can create the exact sizes I need, print on full sheet labels and then cut them out. Time consuming ... but it works the best for me.

Edited to say - for soap I just print labels on plain paper, cut them out, and slap on the bar then shrinkwrap. Figure people just throw this label away so I don't want to use anything more expensive.

  6. Another thing I've noticed is that the faster you get it on an injury (cut, burn, bruise, etc) the faster it heals. If you don't put it on right away then it seems to take longer to heal. If I get a bruise and notice it right away and put it on, it will heal up in a couple days. If I don't get it on the bruise for a few days, then it will take much longer. I have been using it on my brown spots too and it takes a few months to fade, but it definitely gets rid of them eventually. And, oh yes, there is some bad stuff out there too so be careful where you get it.

  7. Well, I love emu, but my husband go a burn on his leg last summer and we applied it everyday for weeks quite a few times a day and he still has a very dark nasty scar. Also, I got a small burn on my hand from my heat gun and did the same thing and still have a very red scar. So I don't know, I think it is an awesome oil but I am just leary at this point, for myself, putting a lot of weight in the claims of healing scars

Perhaps it works better combined with other oils & butters that also have healing properties. I make a balm and have put it on burns and it has healed them almost instantly. They weren't really bad, bad burns but would have been red and "hurt". After applying the balm, no pain, and next day could not tell there was a burn. Had a guy who gashed his hand really, really bad and definitely would have had a scar. No scar. I've had many others use it with great results. I use it for everything! -- burns, cuts, bruises, etc. Heals everything sooooo much faster.

  8. I make powdered BB too. I just use my bath bomb recipe and leave it all loose instead of shaping into balls. That's because my BBombs used to crumble over time, so figured I'd just make 'em crumbled to start with :D Anyway, everyone likes it a lot.

  9. Patchouli here too! I had so many people ask for it so I had to start making stuff with it. The last batch of soap I made is hidden out of the way in another room so I don't have to smell it. I've gotten to where it doesn't make me gag anymore LOL. Have to scrub my hands good every time I use it or the scent just hangs on and ugh!

  10. Oooooh, I was confused. It was a different order I was expecting tomorrow. My JS order just came now! I've been sniffing and sniffing. Here's my initial impression.

1-Apple Pie, Hot Baked - smells like most hot apple pies I've smelled, but we'll see how it throws

2-Baby Magic Type - nice - smells about the same as KY's Snuggle Baby

3-Buttercreme Hazelnut Extraordinarie - ummmm, yummy

4-Cherish - a little too perfumy for me, but that's just me - someone else may like it fine

5-Fruit Slices - love it - smells really close to a blend I make myself - has just a tiny bit more sweetness to it

6-Mulberry Spice - just like the name - mulberry with a bit of spice

    7-Sassy Sweet Tarts - nice

8-Silky V Vanilla - very nice, have to see how it throws

9-Vanilla Buttercreme Crunch - another yummy - yes creamy

10-Perfect Pear - smells like pear - pretty light like most - we'll see

1-Lemon Sugar - oh, my gosh - this smells awesome

2-Caramel Cinnamon Latte - I don't like the smell of coffee, but I really like this - must be the caramel

3-Coconut Bubble - wonderful coconuty and ? -- my smeller is going after sniffing so much and 2nd time around couldn't quite tell what I was smelling

I'm not the greatest at describing scents and of course this was just sniffing the bottles, but I'm sure most will be wonderful in candles and I can't wait to test some out.
