  1. What is the official name of the wicking that Pourette used to sell for their candles? I know them as SB100, etc. I need some more of it but without the name, I can't start looking. If anyone could point me to some place that sells the same wicking, you would make my day!!! Thanks so much!

  2. I'm in a panic :shocked2: I'm in dire of some lemon pound cake FO or at least maybe some good suggestions for this. It's one of my biggest sellers and the company I used to buy if from went out of business and the company that bought them no longer sells it. Even a good lemon merinuge would be great. I'd appreciate any help.

  3. Help! I need some feedback and thougths on what I should do. I've been having problems with C3 Wax. I've used it for three years and have never had ANY problems with it. Everything has been working great until I ordered a batch of wax a few months ago. I used the SAME combination of things I've used for years - no new wicks, scents anything. The only thing different is the wax. I called the company and they sent me a new batch of wax. I tried the new batch last weekend adn the same thing happens. It burns a hole right in the middle and goes out. I emailed the company again and they said they've had no complaints about the wax. UGH! It's the only thing it could be.....

I ordered five more pounds from a different company. It should be here tonight. What would you do. I'm already past the point of pulling out my hair. :cry2: I've got lots of people waiting on candles.......

Thank you so much for any advice!!!

  4. Is anyone having problems with any batches of C3 that have been recently purchased? I had bought a case of wax in August and when I poured a big batch of candles the flame went to nothing in about three minutes. It happend with any combination I did. I called the company back and they sent me another box. I tried that batch tonight. It did the same thing. I've been using the same combination of wicks, FOs and wax for three years. Tonight I even tried some different and new wicks to see if that was the problem and I still get the same result. My batch is L6E30. The only thing I can think of is it was shipped when it was warmer. The first box came and it was kind of pastey. This box is better, but I still have the same problems. Any suggestions? I'm getting really upset so any ideas would help.:cry2: Also, where are some of the suppliers that sell C3? I may try someplace new. Thanks so much!

  5. I just got a case of Cargill C3 wax (I've used this for years - C2 before that) and I've never had problems. When I went to scoop this up, it was sticky and just didn't seem right. Normally this is a loose wax (it's the shavings) and you can handle it without wiping your hands. This batch was like handling butter. I had to wash my hands every time I touched it. It seemed to pour okay, but when I burned it, the flame hardly stayed burning. I did nothing different than usual (I even wick-up one size so I know that's not the problem). Anyone else have this happen? Thanks!

  6. I've never had this happen until yesterday....how, if at all, will a few drips of water in a candle effect it? when I was pulling one candle out of the water bath, I got a few drips of water into the freshly poured candle..... :embarasse It's a 3 1/2 x 12 1/2 in candle......Will it be okay???

    Thanks for the help!

  7. Just came back from my weekly trip to Michaels and I found a really neat way to package pillar candles. They had wine bottle carrying containers. Basically it's a decorated cylinder with a top that has a rope attached to carry it. A three inch or so pillar mold will fit perfectly in there. Once they take the candle out, it can be use for as a wine carrying container. I found these in Oklahoma City.

  8. My aunt got it from a dealer in St. Louis. She said it was Aroma Wax. It gives the most beautiful crackle look. I would really like to get some more information on it - especially who makes it. Any help or suggestions would be great. The lady has since gone of out of business and we haven't been able to get in touch with her.

  9. I've got tons of votives I've made over the past few days and yet I have no idea how to package them. I use the big clear bags for my bigger candles and spruce them up with some lace ties, but I'm sort of clueless as how to package these. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks so much!
