My candles do not have any color.. Its different and as Stella said, people think that they are more upscale.. Also when you use the term dye free, makes your candles seem more environment friendly

FYI it is a 70/30 SOY blend.. Not sure if you had thought it was predominately paraffin

It is the 12 oz Status Jar.. 3" Diameter.. They say CD 14 is for 3.5" to 4" but I find my 70/30 blend needs larger than a CD 10.. At first I had my FO at 10% but kicked it down to 7% and I find it burning much smoother.. Even at 14, some of my heavy scents leave hangup on a regular 4 hour burn.. You ever work with the Green Leaf 70/30 blend back when they were in business?? I thought I would ask if you ever tested with it even though I know you are a C3 lover

Stella, Based on normal testing.. I selected a CD 14 for my 70/30 soy blend.. Full melt pool (1/4" depth x 3" wide) in about 3 hours.. HT is phenomenal.. No hang up at all.. I did not select the CD 12 because I have not seen a full melt pool at all.. It burns very ugly with hangup.. My question was related to the powerburn after I had selected CD 14 as my wick.. If I follow the 4 hour limit.. Candle is fine.. If I powerburn with my select CD 14.. I get the soot.. I was looking for some help on if you would wick down to accomodate the power burners or stay at the selected wick based on normal testing.. Hopefully that clarified what I was asking.. Did you think that I selected my wick based on powerburning?????? LoL

My CD 14's seem to be doing great.. That is if your follow the warning label and only burn it four hours at a time.. I power burn test my candles and when it gets to the bottom after a nice long power burn.. There is a soot ring around the top.. I have thought about wicking down to a 12.. Do you guys accomodate the person who burns a little at a time or do you always have to accomodate for the wild power burner??

Appreciate the info Maggie.. Any reason u didnt go with their pumpkin for candles??? I seem to smell licorice in there.. Not too bad but its not that drop dead amazing pumpkin that I would like.. The kind that makes people want to eat the candle

Thanks Maggie.. I am going to continue using the wax that I love while testing this on the side. I tried the ultimate whipped pumpkin pie.. if you happened to use that one and had good results with the LX.. Let me know.. Would be much appreciated.. I exclusively use the ultimate scents except for the citronella which is quite ultimate to begin with.. I am wondering what went wrong here but I will not give up

Tested it today with their pumpkin scent at 7% with a CD 14.. after a day of cure, there really isnt a good HT.. beautiful melt pool but not the scent I was looking for.. i will insert an ECO and see if it is different.. do i need more cure on this???

I looked at their wicking recs but wasnt sure how accurate they were.. They show ECO 12 to 14 for 3 to 4 inches.. I have both CD's and ECO's so I will start out with the ECO's to see.

Anybody have any experience with this wax recently.. It is next on my list for testing.. I am not sure whether to use the CD or the ECO wicks for this blend.. Any thoughts are much appreciated

Stella.. Ive only known the sun to fade colors.. I guess you learn something new everyday.. UV exposure to this particular FO causes it to make an extreme color change.. All of the other candles with FO did not budge color at all.. I will try to get it colored up from the sun and take a pic for you

I should have clarified that I left it in the sun and it turned bright yellow.. otherwise if not left in the sun, it is a creamy white.. I know that the color of the FO has a inviting affect but this is directly related to sun exposure.. interesting

An opposite issue to candles losing their colors.. I have a vanilla scented candle (naturally colored) that turns yellow when in the sun.. Can you use UVI to take care of this??

Anybody know if someone in the Northeast sells the Clarus Stasis 3022 soy blend??? I am interested in this blend after all the good things I hear.. Looks like Tennessee Candle is sold out and it also costs $90.. I wonder how much Clarus would charge to ship from Texas to New Jersey.. I will call tomorrow

It's a twisted web of a hobby/business we all are involved in.. It is fun though and when you actually find a wax/fo/wick/jar/lid/label that allllll work together, the feeling is priceless

That has to be done through homeowners or is that included in business insurance?? Sorry as this is my first time with this kind of thing.. It is the most important too because if something happens, you need to be protected on all sides
