I just got done filling out the USPS form online. It didnt take long. We do all need to report it because when I finished my form it said:

U.S. Postal Inspectors base their investigations on the number, substance, and pattern of complaints received from the public. We ask you to keep all original documents related to your complaint. We will contact you ONLY if more information is needed.

I got the same letter yesterday and took it to my local post office. She gave me the number for the Postal Inspector. I asked if I could fill out the online form and she said yes and to encourage everyone else to do it as well. Maybe it will raise a red flag and they will go after this low life!!

Thanks to everyone for the advice. It has made me feel better already. My best friend is really pushing the issue of the home parties and totally into having the parties and is so straight forward and fearless :smiley2: She keeps saying how great my products are and she is going to do everything she can to push my business to a new level. Maybe I should just let her run with it huh??

I have been in business sine 04 selling online only. I have done well and happy with the way things are going. I am terrified of home parties and have done well avoiding them. I do fine if people come to me but in home parties I know I will probably have a panic attack on the spot when I have to do a presentation.

In the past 2 weeks I have had 3 customers put serious pressure on me to let them host home parties. I dont want to let my customers down so I have agreed.

My question is: Is there a website that has a checklist and/or forms and ideas?

I was so excited to finally receive the baby bee buttermilk from NG. I ripped open the box, opened the lid, whiffed and wow, is it me or does that smell just like KY Oatmeal, Milk and Honey??

I use the room spray from ICS. It works good. It does cloud if you dont do the proper ratio of fo/modifier.

I mean it really boils and foams when it hits the water. I had no problem mixing.

I did mine in a lemon scent. I think I may try lime next.

I tried the above recipe in a smaller batch and wow does it ever foam!!

I really like them. They ship so fast and best yet my orders have always been correct.

I need to know if anyone knows where to get boxes for the glass heart dish you get at wally world. I found them on a site and thought I had marked it but didn't. That will teach me to do anything business related before I have my coffee! They are white with a window and if I remember right they were around .95 ea. I hope someone has seen these or uses them. If not, any suggestions on how to package these would be much appreciated. I have been pulling my hair out for a month trying to find something I like and would work. Thanks!

Does the Verbena Berry smell like lemons too. I just got some from BCN and it too smells like pledge.

I havent tried the Verbena Berry so I dont know. I would be interest to hear about that one.

I used those same extact ones. They didnt work so I went back to my trusty glue gun.

I carry Verbena Lemon Grass from the Closeouts. I sell quite a bit of it. It is very strong and to me it smells like lemon pledge. Hope that helps!

I get mine out by putting them in the freezer for a few minutes after I take them out of the mold. Then I turn them upside down and lightly tap on a table top and they slide right off. Dont leave in the freezer very long because they will crack.

Thanks to everyone for all the suggestions. I will be gritting my teeth as I make all these changes. I strongly suggest to any new candlemaker that you take care of this upfront. I cant even explain how many changes have to be made now that the word tart cant be used. Anyhow, again I thank you all for responding to my post. Have a great day!!

Thanks for the suggestion. I wonder if I would get in trouble if I renamed them and then in the description I put that it was similar to YC? Last thing I want is a lawsuit.

Well, I received a c and d letter today from yankme. I hope someone has some clear answers to this. They say 5 of my scents cant be used and the word "tart". I figured this would eventually happen. So I change the word tart..no problem. How do I handle the scents. Can you put "type" in the description or behind the name and be ok or do you have to totally rename them? I suppose the other question is and maybe Alan or someone can answer it. How do the oil suppliers get by selling the oils under that name? Im not attacking the oil suppliers just wondering if there was a trick to getting by with it. TIA for any help on this!!
