I've been wanting to make these for a long time and just saw that the supplier I deal with is carrying the oils that I need to make it. It says that it's already mixed (perfect for me). She also sells the reeds but I was wondering if anyone would know where I can get the little glass bottles to make these?
Thanks in advance and I am sorry if I didn't post this in the right category. I have no idea where to put it.

Sounds nice, can your supplier give me a sample too.
LOL! I'm sure she would if you placed an order!

Nothing really to add, just wanted to say that my house is painted in red currant and sage.
Can you try to describe the color? I am stumped when I try to picture what color to make this candle.
-
What supplier? I have never heard of that mix.
Canwax in Ontario Canada.

My supplier gave me a sample of this scent and i just love it. I was wondering if anyone has ever tried this scent in a candle? Did it turn out well for you? Also what color would you suggest for this scent?
Thanks in advance.

Wow, thanks! I can't wait to try it. One more question. The fragrance you use, is it the same stuff that you use to make candles?

Hi! I was just reading the thread on dipping pine cones and someone mentioned that you could just make them scented instead of dipping them? I believe I read somewhere that you could just put a few pine cones in a ziplock bag with a few drops of fragrance oil and after a few short days the pine cones would absorb the smell? Is this right? Has anyone actually done it this way?
Oh and sorry if this question has been asked before. I try to come on this site often ... but well.... I don't get the chance with kids.. work.. husband.. house... pets... you get my point!

Thank you for the info. I'll check my walmart and I'll make sure to see a "5" on the bottom.

I've been reading up on where to store your candles and everyone is recomending plastic containers or shoe boxes but that they have to have a "5" on the bottom? I'm just wondering why is that? I was just going to go and pick up any old tupperware, would this not work to store my candles and tarts?

I live in Northern Ontario and I want to make citronella bug repellant candles. I want to do them with soy so that they are non toxic and can be burned in the motorhome. Is this possible. Anyone have any suggestions
Hi! I was beggining to think I was alone out here. LOL! I'm also in Nothern Ontario. Where about are you? I'm close to Sudbury.
I tried to PM you but it says that you are not accepting them.

Talie. Call Sunshine Container and ask for Dottie. She can answer all of your questions.
I do have to say that they only ship using UPS which can get expensive especially to Canada
Thanks I'll give them a call on Monday. I still hoping someone comes up with a supplier here in Canada. I have a post on a Canadian message board asking this question but so far no one has answered me.

Hey!
You're just a hop, skip and a jump away from me in Pickering!
What kind of bases and everything are you looking for? The closest supplier to us is www.canwax.com SJ is absolutely awesome. In fact im going out there tonight! There are a bunch of other Canadian suppliers as well. I'm going to pm you something...
Hi! I'm in Canada too. I was wondering if you could share who all the other suppliers are with me? I'm near Sudbury and I'm having to pay and arm and a leg in shipping. I would love it if I could find someone closer to me.

Thanks everyone. I've email the sunshine container place and I'm now waiting for a reply to see if they ship to Canada. (I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they do!)

BCN has really nice frosted plastic tealight boxes that hold 1 dozen tealights.
Dixie
I'm sorry, I don't want to seem a little slow here but what does BCN mean?
-
I was just wondering if anyone knew where I could get something to package my tealights? Right now I am just using a zip lock bag but I find it doesn't look very professional. Any suggestions would be very apreciated.
Thanks

I also had one of my very close friends ask me if I could teach her how to make candles and the aroma beads. She said that it looked like fun. And when I hesitated she made a point of telling me that she wouldn't sell to anyone around here ( we live in a small town) and that she would only give some out to her friends and family. So that would mean that I would loose customers. Anyway, I ended up by saying no and needless to say, none of her family are customers now. I guess she was mad and told her family not to buy from me. So either way I was destined to loose customers over this one.

I was wondering. I make container candles and tealights. I've got 3 different sizes of containers to choose from and I also make those clear glycerin soaps with the toy inside for kids. Is this enough of a selection to have a candle party with? Or do you suggest I wait until I have more selection?
Thanks

Sorry if this sounds odd but I seriously don't know what these things are. I make container candles and make them well. I've been selling them to some people around here and have just had a lady ask if I make tarts. She says that they don't have wicks in them? What are these? And while I'm at it, I've seen clamshells mentioned on here too. What are those?

I just made some melt & Pour soap. It's the clear kind (glycerin) with the small plastic toys in the middle for kids. Anyway, I was using a loaf pan that has 8 slots. I ended up running out of melted soap after I had poured 5 so I remelted more and poured into the 3 remaining slots. The problem is when I sprayed it with alcohol I ended up getting some on the other 5 soaps that were already almost set and now they look like they have this gross film on them. Is it the alcohol that did this? Anyway I can get rid of it? Plus the alcohol did work on the getting most of the bubbles out but there are still a bunch near the edges and even though I kept spraying they were not budging. I would be grateful for any advice that anyone can give me.
Thanks in advance.

I live in Canada and I ordered perfume from a company in Florida. I had no idea that mailing perfume was a big NO NO. Anyway, I never got my package. Customs do random checks on what goes through and unlucky for me, they opened my package, saw it was perfume and destroyed it right then and there. They later sent me a letter telling me this. What I was upset about is that I am out $85.00. It's not like customs will pay me back and as for the company I bought it from... they don't give you a refund if you don't have a product. I did call and complain and the weird thing is that usually they send the product back but just this time they didn't. If they would have then at least I could have gotten my money back.

Thanks, I checked it out and the bottle are beautiful. My problem is that I am in Canada and it could cost me quite a bit for the shipping. Anyone know of a place in Canada that carries the bottles?
