  1. I believe it is WSP that also carries a bunch of them and MMS has a whole line of them a scent per character and I belive 2 for major events or places in the book/movie and one for the volturi. I plan on getting that sample back to sniff them and see if I like them but I am still searching for something for Jane =o)

  2. I've seen on a few different sites fragrances for the movie Twilight named after important places and the characters and such. I was curious if anyone has happened upon anything named after True Blood characters? I guess I could always go through different Fo's and rename them for my purpose but if there is something already out there I would love to check them out. Any help is greatly appreciated

  3. i found red door at Save on Scents. I know its a huge list and I keep looking at it saying what don't I want lol but since my main focus is solid perfume I can't really see cutting it my secondary focus is tarts and from what I've seen around my area designer, bbw and vs types are what are popular. I'm hoping to get really started in January with my testing and am really hoping to be able to go to our local HUGE flea market in may-june with at least part of the list tested and perfected. *crosses fingers*

  4. Ok so my plan is to do mostly solid perfume sticks and tarts, but I am also going to do sugar scrub cubes. I want to do a Designer Line, A BBW type line and a VS type line then some assorted scents. I picked out my Designer FO's that I want to try and they are

And I think they have a complete bbw line up 71 fo's I'm not gonna type them out lol

I was just curious if any of you knew of any good dupes for any of these other than SOS and any suggestions on good dupes for BBW types. Also one more opinion I have 57 scents to choose to round my line to 200 if I went with SOS bbw line and all of what I listed above. What are some of your favorite scents that would work well in Solid Perfume and tarts? I'm kind of scent blind lol I am a huge citrus fan and tend to lean towards a whole list of citrus scents which doesnt make for a well rounded line up. Sorry to be a pain in the butt but I appreciate any opinions =o)

  5. I'm looking to mostly do solid perfumes and tarts, I was looking most at there perfume type dupes I saw there huge list of VS and BBW dupes but they all seem to have mixed reviews so I'm going to keep looking around for VS and BBW dupes. I was just hoping that there were some good experiences with the perfume dupes cause that is what I am mostly looking at right now.

  6. I've been looking all over for a recipe/formula for Solid Perfumes. I've seen all sorts of different things some seem very simple some not so simple.

I'm looking for something that I can mix up and store to scent on demand. I would like to use FCO and Bees Wax and eventually I would like to find a vegan friendly wax to use. I'm just having issues with percentages

I found one place that said

    20% FO/EO

    30% Wax

    50% Oils

does this sound right to you guys? And would you use something other than or in addition to the FCO?

  7. I have been doing a lot of reading on essential oils the past few days and was curious if any of you make specific lotions or lotion bars to try to "help" certin aliments? My father in law suffers from gout attacks and I was hoping to make a lotion he can use to help his gout (there are quite a few EO's that help gout) but I wasn't 100% sure that this could be done. Does anyone have an experience with this kind of thing?

  8. I had a dream last night about being a craft fair and my table set up was a "tart bar". It was glorious and beautiful with all the colors and smells, I have yet to make a single tart or to order my wax even I'm trying so hard to wait till the new year to order anything trying to conserve funds for the holidays and such but this dream just makes it so much more tempting to run and order some wax and fo's . I'm really hoping even if it is a small one that by the spring time when our shows start up again be able to have a table and set up my tart bar *crosses fingers* and goes back to tart research =o)

  9. Hey all my name is Melissa and I'm in New Jersey. Oddly enough I happened upon candle making and B&B through a book where the main character was into perfume making and I just started poking around the net. This all sounds so interesting to me that I can't help but want to try it.

My cousin recently became a "S" rep and is having a party at my aunts house, and I sat there thinking well I could always buy a warmer (cause I fell in love with one of theres) and I could work on making my own melts in scents I want that I don't see them offering. It might not cut down on my costs but it should be fun. I was talking to my mother about this and she said well of course she said could you send me some too? lol. I have no issues making them for myself to enjoy or even to ship some to my mom for her to enjoy and give me opinions on them and I don't plan on selling anything for long time I would like to really work on these and get them good before they ever get given to anyone other than my mother and maybe other testers.

I have my wax picked out to try, I'm going to be trying KY Para Soy tart and votive blend, and I also went to NG and picked out 10 FO's to try and while I don't expect perfection or anything great I'm hoping to at last be able to enjoy a few hours of some scents I enjoy.

I just have 2 quick questions. Is color important in tarts? I really don't care what color they are and I know my mother doesn't care, but if/when I hit the stage where I would be giving them to testers, and then again if/when I hit the stage where I might be ready to try selling them. How important is it to color your tarts?

And my other question after reading some debates on curing your candles/tarts I was curious what people felt about curing or the curing time for the parasoy blend. I look forward to hearing peoples opinions and just want to thank everyone who posts there knowledge on these boards it is a great learning source.
