I know exactly what you are talking about as I have a 21 month old that keeps me quite busy. I try to make candles when he is napping or at night, but here lately- I have been napping right along with him and at night I am too exhausted to make any candles.

I just got mine today:yay: and I was shocked as the amount of wicks they sent. I cannot wait to start playing with these.
Chiptooth- I know when I emailed them my request it took them almost 2 months to get back to me- they emailed me that they have been extremely busy.

I just looked it up and it says that the show is from the 27th through the 30th and it looks like the hours are 10 am to 9:30 pm. I've never done a craft show either- I would love to but I know that I am no where even close to being ready to do one.

I saw it listed on eventlister.com. I'm not participating in it either- I just figured since I was going to be in area, I would stop and take a look. I love going to craft shows and seeing how others set up their products.
Angela, Good luck on your exams.

Found out that there is a craft show going on at the Patrick Henry mall in Newport News this weekend and was just curious if anyone from here was planning on participating? I am going to be in the area, so I figured I would stop in check stuff out.
Have a great day,

IMO- It is personal preference. I agree with Angela- make 2 candles- heat one and don't heat one and see which one you prefer.

Lin,
Your candles are so beautiful- If it were me, I would have such a hard time choosing which ones I wanted, I pick all 3. You did a wonderful job.

The only ones I can think of right now to get sample packs of wick are Lonestar Candle Supply- they offer a wick sampler of every wick they have. And Peaks also several sampler packs. I am sure that there are others, I just cannot think of anymore right now.

I cannot help you out with the wax that you are using as I am unfamiliar with that type. What I do with my tarts after they set in the tart melter is not to remelt completely- I watch them and when they look like they are starting to melt, I use a toothpick to remove the wax out of the bowl and then wipe out with a papertowel while still warm.
HTH,

I also leave mine overnight. Or I pour early in the morning and have to leave the house and go somewhere, if not I find myself becoming very impatient and touching the mold about 20 times to check.

They are very beautiful. They might be time consuming, but man are they worth it. They are on my to do list.

Anyone seen this type of this candle?

A friend of mine emailed me about a candle that him and his wife had bought some time ago. I have searched and searched and have come up empty. I am unsure of the type of wax used. This is directly from his email:
We bought
one in Colorado Springs that put of little heat and no black stuff. It was
odorless and no noxious fumes. They said that they were the only ones in the
area. I have never ran across them since. They have a cd disc under them and
glittery stuff in them. So when the wick is lit they shine rainbows every
where. They are awesome.
Has anyone seen these or does any here make them? I am interested in seeing what they look like.
Thanks,
Theresa
