I think that Candle Science has an awesome Pecan Pie scent and very strong. I love this scent I wish I can get all my candles to smell like this one.

Warm jars in a heating pad and when ready to use I pour. Rare frosting problems and no wet spots.

For rough tops I pour tarts with my candles and I put a glitter shaving on the top to hide the rough. Only when I get the rough spots.

Thank you for the tips. I will start using a mask and maybe open the windows a little bit. I hope that Im not allergic to it at the moment that is my big seller.

Yes I have been using mine for quite sometime and I never let my GB464 Soy Wax get any higher that 214 degrees and that is when I put the arrow on #2...I think everybody pot may read differently so I would take the temp and know your pot so this way if it is off you can lower or higher the degrees.

Last night I had made 3 lbs of CS Pecan Pie and a couple of minutes later after I put my fragrance oil in the wax my throat started to burn. My throat and nose was bothering me all night

I woke this morning not being able to smell anything and still a soar throat.

Is this normal when making candles? And if anybody can help me, what can I do to prevent this from happening to me.

now I tried the coconut oil and it burned well but no scent throw at all. I was very disappointed

Try ECO#10 wicks, 3/4lbs of wax, 1 ounce of fragrance...melt at 200 - 208 degrees and pour at 122 degrees

:rolleyes2I wanted to thank all of you for helping me with all your tips on how to get a candle throw. Last week I finally got a throw with CS Pecan Pie. I was just very surprised on the melting and pouring tempature.

I used a Prest Pot and put it on 200 degrees waited for it to melt added the scent and die chip and poured at 122 degrees and I get a nice throw.

Even though I put the presto pot on 200 degrees I decided one day to take the temp and it was like 208 degree and the candle smells the bathroom into the kitchen, living Room and the upstairs is just awesome.

Some people were talking highly about the coconut oil....well I destroyed 9 candles.......no scent at all.

But just wanted to thank everybody.

What type of wax are you using? I found that the Presto pot is the most suitable way melt the wax.

Try the ECO 10 they say that size wick is the best for the 464. I have tried different sizes in wicks 6, 10, 14 and still no throw.

Well I figured that I am going to try the C3 or the 415. Most people prefer the C3 they its easier to work with. I will try both and all until I succeed

I have been trying for 3 months now and I still have no throw. I just ordered coconut oil to add into the mixture. Hopefully this will help. If I dont get a throw by the time finish all my wax up I will try something different. Running out of patients

I use the same wax as well with the eco #10 wicks....I have been trying for months cant get a throw.

I wish I can get my candles to get a throw....? how many ounzes of FO do you use for your 8oz jars?

Should I put the FO into the wax while melting and what tempture should I be pouting at?

I am using eco#10 wicks, #464 soy blend with a 8oz jar. I just invested in a presto pot that somebody had advised to get. Hopefully. I just don't understand why the wick would matter. Because when I burn them they are not too low or high they are a perfect flame

I let my candles cure for at least 3 - 4 days and some of them have been longer. I am using a 8oz jelly jar and I am not sure about the wicks. I had order through Candle Science the sample package of wicks and the package comes in various sizes. I just happen to like the wicks that are labelled #10.Yesterday 06:50

Im using Soy blend #464 from Candle Science and I have been trying different wick sizes. I had purchased the sample package. I loved how the #10 was burning. But I just cant master the throw of the scent.

I am new to making soy candles and I am having a problem with the candles throwing off a scent. I have tried many different melting/pouring temp. and 1 - 1.5 ounces of fragrance and still nothing!!!! Can somebody please help me:shocked2:
