My son would love those. I those will be at the top of the list of the things I want to with. Do you think they would be easy enough for a first time soaper?

After much reading I am not understanding how you know how much of everything to put in a recipe. Everything is listed by percentage how do I figure out actual amounts? Am I missing something?

I am still reading and researching everything. I really want to start making bath and body products and this seems pretty easy. My question is this makes 80 lip balms can you once you have everything mixed together just take like a 1/4 of and add flavor oil and then let the rest set and remelt later? How much flavor oil would you use for 1/4 of the recipe. Thanks in advance for the help. My girls go through a ton of lip balm and this would the perfect thing for me to start with.

Yes, especially on a limited budget. Although it may be more convenient to go to Michaels and pick up a few supplies as you can afford it, the results will be disappointing. Better to save up and buy a kit that has quality materials.
What kits would you recommend?

The directions for putting a spigot on the presto pot is at www.peakcandlesupply.com scroll down on the left and click on candle tech. Then in the upper right hand corner, the search, type in "presto pot", walaaa it's the best way to do it. They have a ton of info on that site and by the way how much money$$$$ do you have.:laugh2::laugh2:They have kits. That how I got addicted. then you go to Candlemaking addiction .com the 12 step program. Just kidding:laugh2:WELCOME

I am sure once I get started I am going to be an addict. Right now I have no money so I can't get started but I am loving just reading everything here and researching everything. Are the candle kits good to start with?

I am definitely wanting to try lip balms. My kids go through a lot of lip balms. I figured it would be a lot cheaper to start making my own.
