    A few contradictions.

ys, Im a fence rider, cant seem to make decisions well. wishy washie is my middle name...lol. ..Im making myself do this...lol. If I tell myself enough times..I can do it! Just putting thoughts down, not a crime.

I'm not into sales too. I still do it though before I can hire.

    Good Luck!

  2. It is a straight sided votive.Smallest zinc I know of 44-28-18. As far as MP, it was fine. The mushroom got to me though. I`ll use a C8 or 10 tomorrow. I can see why adding a harder wax now. I am just not into making my own blend. I`ll use this up for containers and not buy again. I read a post a few years back, yesterday. The guy just open  4627`s plastic all the way down to the sides and then sliced it. Easier by far.

  3. So , I went back back quite a few years and found good info. on this wax. Thank God for archives! After a hour ,blew the wick out (using zinc) and there was a small mushroom. Waited a bit, trimmed wick and lit. Good HT. Im using Carrot Cake. Will probably add a drop or two more color.

  4. Is anyone using just straight 4627? All the post I see, everyone is adding this and that. Oh my goodness, didnt realize it would be so hard to get out of the box...has anyone invented a electric heated spoon big enough to maybe use? Just poured and testing with zinc wick. Just lit, so far so good.

  5. Cant seem to get excited about candles any more. I still have my shop and i haven't done anything with wax and fragrances in a year. But....cant leave them alone either when the fall rolls around. I had started another business but that fell thought. Never, and I mean never go into business with family. So...the wax and fragrances are calling my name again. reading pass post of people having trouble with wicks, wax , Ive decided to pretty much stay with melts. I have 1 boxes of 464 that Ive made a few melts with,( but its so oily), 2 boxes of plain paraffin and 1 of C3. Ive always have used paraffin for years till the couple that sold to me passed away. Couldnt find the wax any where and had to start over with new formula. Im not a seller...period. Put me out in the shop and I can make candles non stop. But I guess Im finally at a age I just dont care what other people think, and Im going to go out and sell. Ive worked with candles for 15+ years now. Its do or die trying.

  6. Thanks Tina J and Moonstar. I found that site, but they want a minimum of 3 orders =$268.00. But its the only site out of 20+ sites Ive been on looking that has these.

  7. I have a shop that sells my candles and she told me today that a person she knew wanted my candles in her shop. So...I would like to gift my friend with candles ( dont really have money to buy her a gift) so how much would be a nice gift dollar wise?  Or some other idea?

  8. Just tried Lonestar`s Apple Slices....meh....anyone have any suggestions other than cinnamon to add to this. I put 1.5 oz. per lb and can barely smell it. Inclosed in a box, waited a day and still barely there. Disappointed.

  9. Trapper, yes,she rents a booth. but also works there. Another lady makes/sells the soy candles 8 oz. for 7.99 . My suggestion for my 8 oz. square mason jar was 8.99-9.99. I dont know  the price she set on my candles . I havent been to check what she prices them for. I told her to check the market to see whats its been selling for. She sells my stand along tarts in a large old timey candy jar. She says the soy lady sells her soy tarts chamshell 2.5 oz for 3.00.... Ive been figuring candles prices, taking from here and adding there. I did  x 2 for profit and supplies and add a few cents more for wiggle room. maybe Im too greedy. Cant help looking at her profit versus my hard work....She complained about my wick tap being too long and customers complaining about not getting the last ounce of wax on the bottom ( really). I told her its to prevent scorched table tops and glass bottom getting too hot and shattering. she didnt like the answer....

  10. Just recently Ive raised my prices on my tarts. A lady I whole sell my tarts to ( paraffin), says that my prices were to high, that a lady that sells her tarts in the same store is cheaper. The other lady uses soy. She wants  to match her prices. Ive been trying to figure my prices till my brains on fire. I could drop them by a few cents, but thats all. What do I tell her? I may lose her business. And thats ok with me really if it comes to that. She doesnt order that much to justify using my shop and me being out there for 3 days working ( electric and my time included).
