Vista Print has given me FALSE INFORMATION...I called vista print again today and they informed me that none of their product labels are waterproof...they are paper stock
oh how frustrating! I love the stuff I do get from Vista Print but their CS is less than wonderful. One order I placed I got charged $15/month for some thing I didn't intend to sign up for (apparently there was a checked box that I should have unchecked - NEVER saw that box). So the last time I ordered I watched very closely for a box. Didn't see one. Then I start receiving some gun magazine?! WTF...so I called the mag and they told me it was ordered through VistaPrint...WTF again! I called the number the mag people gave me and apparently it's a free subscription...better never get charged for that one!
anyway - back on topic now...LOL

AvaNavan - which company did you go with?
katshe - which ones at Vista??
-
oh these would be perfect for my sugar scrubs! and maybe even my body frosting!
I would love to do a co-op if there is interest - I'd run it if need be!
-
so I just went ahead and emailed MC. they said that the Mint Candy Cane does NOT have vanilla in it.
-
I do get my labels from online labels - but I'm trying to find a less expensive way to do waterproof labels.
Kellie - I did the clear packing tape thing for a few items and it takes me forever LOL
-
Getting ready to soap this and want to do red/white swirls...
does it have any vanilla in it? will it discolor? should I use my vanilla stab?

What did the fixative do? Did it just make it sticky? hahahaha. If that's the case, maybe you could add that too... then when a customer picks up your product, they won't be able to put it down.
HAHAHA - well this is the fixative that goes on artwork - DH uses it when he's done with an art - especially when he uses pastels...keeps them from smearing if you use the permanent fixative (there's also a "moveable" fixative) I was using the permanent kind... Which is why I thought it might work.
but that's a good idea too - use the sticky adhesive kind then people have to buy stuff - "You stick to it, You buy it." HAHA
-
ahhh...i was getting fixative because i'd never seen what you described (just looked it up) in stores here and thought maybe fixative was what i needed (it wasn't LOL)
thanks

Which kind is it? A link or picture of the can would be great.
I thought I had the right thing and it did not work...

My favorite part of these emails is "please send me a link to your website"
Um, well...if you are contacting me because you want my products so badly then YOU ALREADY HAVE A LINK TO MY WEBSITE!

well I ended up with the cranberry marmalade and I'm happy enough with it that it's the cranberry I'm going to use - given it works great in everything after testing!!
-
My solid perfume is a little bit harder than my lip balm. Neither melt in my purse on a really hot day, just the way I wanted them to be.
yep - this exactly!
-
Candybee - thanks! I do love pumpkin souffle - I have a melt going right now of it in the kitchen. YUM. I'll have to check out the mistletoe. I have some jack frost from CS (I thikn that's where)...I'm just not in love with it - to me it almost smells like there is pine in it but that's not in the description. :who knows:
-
I'm trying to keep my line-up small - and varied. I've researched on here and that's how I came up with a couple of these scents - a couple I already have used and want to keep.
But I need some advice on a few...these will be in soaps (CP &/or HP) and wax tarts.
Already used and keeping...
*Christmas Splendor (MC)
*Pumpkin Souffle (MC)
Need advice on where to get...
*Frankensence/Mhyrr (?)
*a peppermint
*a christmas tree/pine - I was thinking the Christmas Tree from CS
Also - this one sounds the best to me for cranberry, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE Yankee's Cranberry Chutney and would maybe rather have a dupe of that (but from where??)
*Cranberry Marmelade (CS)
Planning on getting but have never used...
*Hansel & Gretel's House (NG)
*Dutch Apple Pie (MC)
TIA

I don't use it myself but was sent some in a swap - it is very nice - leaves a powdery dry feeling NOT greasy
-
Here's my "Hot Cocoa" - has cocoa powder, goat milk & chocolate FO
My (rebatched) Avocado Problem Skin Soothing Soap - has avocado puree, honey & goat milk
Calamine & Oatmeal (M&P) Itch Relief Soap (This is just what was left over when the mold was full - so it's a mini bar for me LOL)
Salt Bars & Shave Bars (Blue - salt bar - Fresh Outdoors / Red - salt bar - Dragon's Blood / other one at bottom of pic - unscented shave bar)
and yes - they all need cleaned up and the salt bars have ashy like stuff on top boo
-
I 2nd Mountain Rose
-
My other crafting stuff - fabric, scrapbook junk, etc.
very very nice! i love seeing where others' soap too. what is hiding under the table behind the curtain? -
Thanks everyone. It is wonderful!
NancyT - I'm in Columbus, IN

Try adding some DPG , it should raise the flashpoint over 170
okay - thank you!

it IS sooooooooo nice! We've lived here for 2.5 years and it's always just looked like the before picture - I had to dig through boxes to find fabric and glue and whatever craft stuff I needed. I tried organizing it once in the boxes but then it just ended up looking like that again. LOL
The only other thing I need down there is a sink - which is coming at the end of the summer when we get some extra $$. The laundry room is to the left in those pictures and so it'll be the perfect location for a mud sink.
Oh and I'm getting a microwave too - my sister has one I'm going to buy off her!!
-
I do a lot of stuff other than just soap/B&B - I also sew, scrapbook, other random crafty stuff - I finally had enough of soaping out of the kitchen and never having a good space to do anything else either -
Okay okay - here it is!!!
the BEFORE pic
AND NOW - TA DAAAAAAAA -
Printing station - this desk was upstairs - I wanted the printer downstairs instead
These shelves were in the other half of the basement - Dan and I had to move them about 40 feet - all one piece 6ft x 7ft
I also sew a bunch - so this is my sewing table - you can see to the right where I stopped painting - there's a weight bench thing there that takes 3-4 people to move - it's going into the other half of the basement
Thanks for looking!

anyone know what the flashpoint is of the KY body/linen spray or the spray from essentialsbycatalina?
And isn't the USPS limit 200* ?
So if I mixed an FO in there that is say 170* - I can't ship it USPS can I?
I did read some stuff on the USPS website but it's not in Layman's terms...

I'll be watching because I'm doing my first farmer's market this summer. Our FM is fairly new - I think this is the 3rd year. But ours is every saturday morning from June 5-end of September.
Scentsy Dupes

what about camu camu? I know a lot of people (on a mommy board) that are into/selling scentsy and that is one of the biggest ones they talk about. but I can't find it anywhere - any search just tells me what a camu camu plant is. but no dupes/fragrances come up.
