  1. I have always ordered it as Golden Brands 464 from Candle Science....Nowhere on their site do they mention "GW" but, I have found "GW 464" on other websites (for a better price) and was wondering if it is the same wax since on Candle Science they so show the name "Golden Wax" next to "Golden Brands"....Not sure if the "GW" even stands for Golden Wax...I think I confused myself...Hehe...Anywho, anybody know??

  2. I checked with Peaks....Their shipping is not much better than Candle Science...$120 dollars versus $116 with CS.

I really need to find a place in California so I can either pick it up myself or have it shipped for far less money...

I have found suppliers in California but they carry other soys, not the 464...I have tried their soy waxes before and I just don't like the final product.

I have been searching online all day...Wah :sad2:

  3. Don't be dissapointed or discouraged...It'll just take time to work out the kinks. I have heard some good things about that wax so I won't be giving up just yet...I am going to do a little more experimenting this weekend...I've got tons of the stuff so I may as well!

I'm going to try different batches...One with the coconut oil and one without...I'll also try using the maximum percentage of fragrance oil....and different cure times....I'll report back with my results!

    :yay:

  4. I bought the 10 lb slab of this wax from CandleScience because I wasn't getting the hot scent throw that I wanted from pure soy wax so I thought I'd try this paraffin/soy blend. I bought the 10 lb slab (they also have a 50 lb case). I love the cold & hot scent throw but I was amazed at how much soot it produced. I used the wick recommended by the website for tins I used and followed directions to a "T" but I still got A LOT of soot. Hopefully that was just my experience. Like I said, on the plus side - it gives a much better hot scent throw that soy alone. Hope some of this helps.
