  1. We use Mulberry paper and wrap each bar like a little present. Actually, my wife does all the wrapping since it was her idea to begin with. I just wouldn't have the patience for something like that. When we put clear labels on them, they look really nice.

We get our paper at Creative Papers Online. One $2 sheet of paper (25"x37") is enough to wrap 15 bars of soap.

Here's what the soap looks like wrapped: index.php?main_page=popup_image&pID=2

AHHH, I really like the looks of that jeffd. I like how the paper looks "wrinkly" and love your labels too. Very Nice.

  2. It's from Southern Soapers. Description is: (Fragrance of Flowers) is an ultra feminine fragrance resplendent with oriental lillies, osmanthus, pink freesia, fresh cut blush roses, blue delphinium, baby's breath and lacy ferns on a bottom of delicate musk and ozony fresh air.

Sounds devine. I noticed baby's breath in the description and thought I would like try a sniffie of baby's breath itself sometime. I like that.

  3. I was looking at the Brambleberry.com site and saw this

    Quote:

SHIPPING NOTE: Our Bulk bases are poured into a box that fits perfectly in a large flat rate box. This means that shipping for one 25 pound block of M&P base is just $12.95 plus insurance to any US address. Just put a note in the comment box of the shopping cart to request this option!

That's a great price for shipping no matter what where you live.

That is a really good deal. Is the block hard to cut at that size I wonder?

  4. I have no really good workspace with a tiny kitchen in my main home, so I'm currently making more candles than usual over at the beach house. I've got a better setup over here, so I pour pretty much all the time while I'm on this beloved island.

I'll go stay in the other house for a few days and soap. I've got my laser printer there, so I have to go back and forth.

Wow, you are busy. So you keep supplies at both places then? I would love to have a little getaway place.:)

  5. I've seen these before, and I thought the hole is supposed to be open? Seems like the bottom of the socket would need to be uncovered. Was your problem with just the width of your hole around the socket?

Sorry for my questions, but I know nothing about these. I do think its pretty cool looking though.

I hope you will show a finished photo when you are all done.
