As far as my history with SS I dont' have one! I tried to place my first order today and was told i couldn't.

The posts you refer to on DS group, correct me if I'm wrong, wasn't stacy, it was the original owner of serendipities that posted it.

and with me bringing this here! is because i wanted to know if anyone else has had problems not being able to order because of who they are friends with. I don't care what is going on between the 2 companies and that shouldn't have anything to do with what i can and can't order. And then to tell me that if I try to order again that she will bring her lawyer in is absolutley CRAZY!!!!!!!

I received an email from the other supplier ranting and raving about this situation.

So your telling us that the other supplier just up and out of the blue emailed you with her issues? strange.

and my problem came from being a mod on the other suppliers board. so what if i'm a mod? i met her on another board 5 years ago and have been friends with her since before she was a supplier. i was making candles long before i met her, she is NOT my only supplier! I use fo's from OT, BC n&S, lonestar, peaks, WW, SWorks, CC, and many others. None of these suppliers have an issue with who i'm friends with, and it shouldn't matte. Money is Money!!

you know just being a supplier that is a chance that they have to take everyday. Same as being a chandler and soaper!! How many times have you had a customer say i bought a candle/soap/lotion from somewhere and here is what's left...can you make my stuff in this fragrance?? Well yea your gonna try and find it. But to stop order cause you are afraid of your customer?? That's stupid! I mean every supplier carries dupes. All i wanted to do was try her fragrances. Aparently you can't order samples, or at least i can't.

Well apparently she's loaded and doesn't need $$ lol. I asked if I can order other stuff and was told that I wasn't allowed to order anything ever! And anyone else that has to do with the "other" lady couldn't order either. That is just a bunch of CRAP!! Thought suppliers were supposed to be nice?? Thought they were in biz to help us expand our biz and in return expand there?

Why is it if you are a moderator on a suppliers board you are prohibited from ordering from other suppliers?? I have tried to place an order with SOUTHER SOAPERS and was told that I can't order because she is have "issues" with the co. that i'm a mod for. I can't order for myself. She even told me she would bring a lawyer in if I tried to order again! WHAT THE HECK?? I'm on this ladies yahoo group too! So i can be on her group but I can't order her fragrances?? What is going on??? Does anyone else have this problem trying to order??

Stacy asked me to post that she is currently (temporarily) closed. The whole family has the flu and have had to go to the hospital due to dehydration. As soon as she's back to normal or can function she will resume filling orders. I'm sorry if this causes any problems. I'll try to update as I her stuff from here.

Boy life would be grand if they didn't discontinue it! But I didn't see it on there site the other night. It funny you just sent the link you did. I was just there checking for my wax and for 2 cases =$72 and then $64.38 for shipping. Man I guess I alway new shipping was bad just delt with it. This is probally gonna be my best choice for now and I'll get an extra case. Do you know if the 1288 is gonna replace the M29?

Thanks...it looks interesting, now to find a supplier. I actually live in TX but could get stuff from Peak in 3 days so I didn't mind ordering from them. Maybe Lonestar has it.

I have been using the astrolite mottling container wax. But I just went to peak to reorder and it's not there anymore. SO....what do I use now? Any suggestions? My biz is going good again and now I have to retest wicks.

I can really use any help!

Bunny...Ok I will up the ewax. I try to use conditioning emulsifier when I have it on hand and I was told that I can use up to 10% with it in scrubs.

Gene...Well I never thought of storing it without the sugar. Does it help keep it longer?

Josie...Yea the soap does help hold it together better and it helps reduce some of the "oil slick" when your finished scrubing. I have used soap one time and really like the end result just not the before. I probally added to much soap. I'll have to try that again.

Ok replace some of the stearic. So I should be using stearic in my scrub when I use ewax. Is there a % I should stay near? I would like a little firmer scrub so this sounds good. Can I make it without the stearic and use the soy wax and ewax only? I have been using I think 6% ewax and was told to go higher.

Has anyone else noticed that there are 3 of us on this thread? Cari (me), Carrie, and Kerry...Ok I'm over it.

Kerry...I put I think about 6% in my last scrub and it just didn't hold it all. Now it's been a long while since I have made scrubs, so should I have SB'd the stuff till cool and then added the sugar? I know this is another goof ball question here. I have been away from B&B stuff for quite a while and have customers driving me crazy for stuff so I guess I better get it back together soon. Whipped sugar scrub that sounds right up my alley! Sounds wonderful, is it just fluffy? Is that from ewax?

josie...do you use a emulsifier? or just not add a lot of oils? or use butters only? how does it not seperate? You have really peaked my intrest now.

Bunny, I believe she was saying that is what she thinks of with sugar scrubs, like several others said they think of it drying there skin and I believe it was you and I that think of open cuts. lol

well you have a point Carrie. What if I say the sugar just scrubs and desolves. Then I guess the same could be said for the salt. So is the salt any scrubbier than sugar? Do you use table salt? Is there a difference in benifits between the 2? Or is it just preference?

I have seen a scrub with soy wax in it. A friend got it in a swap. I would like to try this. Does anyone have an idea of how much soy to add? And can I use it in place of ewax?

Well if I was to make a salt scrub I would need to know the benefits of using it. But it seems like more prefer sugar anyway.

Ok, so then it's not something that I just "have" to add to my line. Yea, there's nothing like finding a cut when using salt. Ok, Good! One less thing to worry about now. THanks!

I have always made sugar scrubs. I don't like to have to worry about where I might have a nic or a cut on me when I feel like using a scrub. So I have never made a salt scrub.

So here's the stupid question... Why put salt in a scrub?
