Someone gave me a slab and they said it was 12 years old

I did one this past weekend and didnt do to well, well maybe okay considering the people but it was still disappointing. Got a big one coming up Saturdayso hopefully that will go better.

This place is close to me so I hate to buy it from anywhere else. TIA

If you use this wax, what are your thoughts? I went to Natures garden and wanted some parasoy wax and this is what she suggested and sold me. Its very buttery, how is it to make tarts out of? What do you use this wax for? TIA

Its some soy wax, I buy a 35 pound brick and use that. The muffin tins I purchased at $1 store as well Im not going to sell them individually I dont think.

Also I put them in heat shrink bags them so they are packaged. I put warning labels one's bottom and will be making labels for them as well.

Here are my firestarters I will be taking to a craft show that generally gets aroun 800 people walking through. Ive made 50 sets of six like this. Lotsa of them xmasy, red and green. Do you think I can get MAYBE $5 a set for these? Ive never sold them before and hopefully there will be an interest. Now also do you think I should make more as well? I plan to do some other craft shows as well.

Yes, so far Ive made tarts, firestarters, and electric candles. Now when you say put it in tin as wickless, are you referring to the small tin containers? I have not ventured into container candles thus far, I think Im scared of messing up and getting flustered. Any easy container candle I can make, I have a glass container for a candle and I also have some jars for candles. My biggest problem is I dont know anything about wicks at all and I know its all about testing, testing, testing.......

I just got off the phone from lonestar and the wax is paraffin 4786 Im a little disappointed - thats container wax. Can you make tarts with this wax??? If not I may have to sell it.

I answered a craigslist ad for wax and candle supplies - the ad stated 35 lbs which turned out to be actually 50, the box said 60 pounds. I noted it was from lonestar candle company, now on their web site I only see soy granulated, did they use to sell pure soy by the slab, its soft and cuttable.

I also got thermos, wicks, big spool of wicking, pour pots, liquid dye, glass containers, and other items for $35

Another question, I would like to make red and green flame pinecone firestarters, so first i would soak the pine cones, leave dry, then dip in wax - now my question is say a medium size pinecone, how long does this last in a fireplace? Thanks for your opinions.

Thank you so much for clarifying this all, I appreciate it. So the color will last as long as the firestarter does? Can I also get pinecones, like the cinnamon ones they sell near xmas, soak them, leave dry, and then coat with red or green wax with a wick?

Now I would like to make some different colored flame ones, how does one go about adding the additive to do so? Is it mixed with the wax? Are there any good instructions somewhere?

May I ask what you sell those for? They are very pretty as well.

How big are your firestarters you sell, cupcake liner size? I plan to get them really xmasy and was going to go with peppermint, cinnamon, and pine or something. I got 35 pounds of wax for next to nothing so I am going to use that.

I signed up for another xmas craft show, last year Id say 800 people came by and I did good I think for what I had. This year I am making the same thing and also gonna sell firestarters. Id like about 3 scents. How many should I make do you think? Thanks for the opinions.

I live about a half hour from NG. I love KY parasoy but was wondering what I could get for tarts in comparison at ng?

I had one of those molds and sold it. It was orange silicone, dont think it was by jello though.
