Mineral oil with help with the mottle in a wax that is already intended to mottle. It will not cause a mottle in a non-mottling wax. hth

Hi everyone! I really like the 11 oz tumblers, but it almost doubles the cost for me to add one of the brushed silver lids that make them so sophisticated looking. I really don't care for the plastic dust covers.
Would any of you care to share how you package these? Do you use a lid? Do people seem to care if you don't? Maybe in a box? Or cello?
Thanks for any insight!

Very neat! Thanks!

That looks very cool! Can someone point me to the tutorial please?

This one is pretty neat from what I've seen. All kinds of crafts, but jewelry is one of them!

Hi all!
I have a customer who purchased a reed diffuser from Bed Bath and Beyond called Green Tea Citrus. Any idea of a dupe? Or maybe you've smelled it and know of something similar or have any idea for a blend? TIA!

I second the Dogwood and Black Cherry (though I've only done them in B&B, incense and diffusers. I also love Citrus Splash and Gulf Tides.

Plumeria is awesome in soap and lotion!

Yup, a tight fitting container.

I'm intrigued by the Sweet Jasmine Vine. I came here earlier to search the board for that one and the only thing I came upon was classifieds...didn't take that as a good sign. lol
But, has anyone smelled this one? Any opinions?
I've never used Lonestar before, are their fragrance oils 'good'?

I was hoping someone could recommend a good starting point for wicking this? I use a blend of 444/6006 with CD's. I prefer to double wick. Any insight would be greatly appreciated! TIA!

Very nice. OK what colors are in that mango papaya? I'm liking the combination.
It's orange and pink chunks with un-colored overpour. I use liquid dyes. Thanks again everyone.

Soap looks great, but the pictures are AWESOME!

Wow! That is VERY pretty!

Thanks everyone! Ann Marie, that sounds extreme...lol! The first thought I came up with was 'My Smelly Basement', this was my attempt to class it up a little.
8-GRAN-ONES - yes I am in my 5th year of selling and I love it!

I SO enjoying looking at pictures of everyone's creations, so I thought I would share too!
Chunk is BCN Mango Papaya, Purple Mottled is BCN Lilac, Lime Frosted is Peak Bartlett Pear.
Thanks for looking!

Hi and welcome to you! Bittercreek is a great place to start! You will be amazed at the difference in quality as compared to the craft stores. Have fun!

Hi and welcome!

Iwantitgreen had very politely helped the original poster by explaining how to search. I feel that it was not necessary for anyone else to make a sarcastic comment after that.
I get really frustrated in the forums and today's world in genera. What happened to if you can't say something nice don't say it at all?
I couldn't agree more. It is this very reason that I don't post more on this board. Thank you for having the courage to say something.

I remember wearing Tea Rose as a kid, but no mint there...

I have always used paraffin for my votives, mainly because I prefer the mottled look. I use paraffin for my pillars too, but soy for my jars. Like Sliverofwax said, they are all independent. It's really all about preference.
Wick for IGI 1274
in General Candle Making Discussions

Hi all!
I have good luck with the 2/0 square braid in this wax, but I'm curious what others use? I would like to find something with a wick tab vs having to tab the raw wick.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
