  1. I got this oil from Tony's a couple of years ago and when I smelled it I thought it smelled like what Strawberry Shortcake dolls used to smell like, KWIM? It was very fake and rubbery smelling. I used it a couple times in soap and people seemed to like it, but this weekend I was at BBW and smelled it in there and loved it, but it smelled nothing like the one I had. I am looking for that scent, does anyone have one that they think is dead on for BBW? I would be forever grateful!

  2. This thread has reminded me to get cracking on my firestarters, they are all we use in our fireplace and it is almost that time again! I also use leftover wax that is already scented, but I was also given two slabs of parrafin wax that I plan on using as well, I don't use parrafin for candles so thought this would be a great use for it. You really don't smell any scent at all from any firestarter once it starts burning, but people just expect them to have scent.

  3. I always make up a "master batch" of lotion and just scent it as needed, there is no problems doing it this way. You don't need to heat it up or anything. I just measure out the amount I need into a large ziploc bag and add the scent directly to the bag and then zip it up and then squish it until the fo is all mixed in. Then I snip the corner off the bag and squeeze it into the bottles. The fo never separates out or anything, so no need to worry.

  4. Another idea was that if it's horribly bad to where it's tangling into itself at the ends, every 3 weeks for at least 3 times, trim 1/2" off. I don't know if this is a wives tale or a truth, but it seemed to work for me. It trimmed out some of the worst of the ends, which made it tangle less and less split ends formed and you don't take drastic measures all at once and cut too much off that you don't want..

Thanks for this advice, I am struggling with almost this same problem, only thing is I don't want to loose any length, but I need to do something to get rid of those pesky split ends. 1/2" at a time wouldn't be too noticeable.

Then I will just have to find a way to keep the split ends away after getting them cut off. I really don't use many styling products and usually only blow dry once a week if at all. I have heard that using a clarifying shampoo once every week or two will help cut the build-up from styling products with a lot of cones in them. I do that and it always makes my hair feel so much softer afterwards.

I look forward to seeing more replies to this thread!
