I am confused about using Canola in soaps. I read Miller's soapmaking and saw her recipes for using Canola. Seems to make a shiny, hard bar. Then I did a quick check here and found it causes DOS and not many use it. Today, I saw Brambleberry had a recipe for a Impressionist Soap using 10 oz because it traces slow and good for layering colors. So.....does it add anything to the soap besides making it hard and shiny?

Thank you for sharing! I just love looking at all your soaps. Have watched both of your youtube videos and sure appreciate the tutorials. You inspire me to try to swirl!

So beautiful! The colors are so bright. Would you mind sharing what you used to color your soap?

I really like them both, but my eye is more attracted to the 2nd one because of the grass. It is unique and more natural. The only thing that I would change would be to remove the picket fence, and have a couple of seashells scattered around in front or beside the candle. Seriously, nice job.
