How in the world are you? I have only two lol! Need four but don't have the room.

Doing fine Bohemian! - We are just hanging out in Southern VA, in the middle of a soybean farm, taking care of my disabled Dad, in a house we just rehabbed...living the retired life - I guess? Needing to make some candles so thought I would pop on here and check out all the GREAT information and touch base with my cherished crafty friends :-)

  2. Come join us!
    July 21st, Saturday -
    Winchester, VA
at the Holiday Inn, Historic Gateway. Early registration underway on our
, until March 20th. Save $10 by registering early.

This year the registration includes all the normal goodies AND a continental breakfast! We are still working on the day's schedule and have some fun activities planned for Friday evening as well.
Seats are limited to ONLY 50
(and we have always had more than that attending) and will be available until sold out.

It's always been an extremely fun time and an excellent way to meet many in this CT community as well as network with fellow crafters. PM me if you have any questions or check out our FB group page "Lights and Lather".

  3. Yep, that is what this one is. Simple design, but that puppy pumps them out like now problem. I bought the two sizes and now I am thinking about buying the big daddy and making some bath bomb hockey pucks! I bet they will hold up alot better shipping wise than those elusive spheres I could never get! LOL

New wholesale account wanted "therapeutic" type bath bombs that were created with their line of "earthy" fragrances and actually asked for "no balls"! I was thrilled, as I can't get a bath bomb in a sphere to save my life. So bring on the press, much easier and quicker. I am turning them out like a mad woman and not tearing my hair out in the process.

  5. I think Ro has been sick with a bad sinus infection - laid up actually. I would give it a couple of days, she is usually good about returning emails. She stocks her oils most often with fast buy/pre buys, it's hard for a smaller supplier to invest money in a great deal of oils in massive quantity unless she/he knows they are going to be purchased or are spoken for. I normally get my oils then and buy in bulk knowing they may be out of stock for a bit until she runs another. Hope that helps :-)

  6. Sounds like a body gel base or liquid surfactant base with added hardners

Distilled water, shea butter, ammonium cocoyl isethionate, cocamidopropyl betaine - these are liquid surfactants with shea butter added!

    aluminum oxide crystals (exfolient)

emulsifying wax (hardner and oil emulsifier)

caprylic/capric triglycerides (non greasy oil - FCO)

sorbitol (humectant but not commonly used by crafters)

cetyl esters, cetyl alcohol (conditioners - could come in combo)

ginko biloba leaf extract, olive leaf extract, roobios tea extract, white tea extract, green tea extract (bunch of extracts)

    diazolidinyl urea, iodopropynyl butylcarbamate (preservative)

Tell me what it looks and feels like and I might know better - sounds like a couple of bases with added stuff like shea, exfolients and extracts. The preservation system was most likely included in the surf base -

  7. Not crazy about hydrovance, I have used it in body sprays with success but I think it's too pricey for my surf products and the pH factor is not worth the fight and price! I love sodium lactate and have used it in some products, but gave it up recently in my wash off products cuz once you add water and rinse it's gone! My favorite humectant now and for a while especially in hair stuff is honeyquat, love it. I would say in my opinion the label recognition may not be there for the naturel lovers in sodium lactate or hydrovance, but they are naturally derived so what the hay? I adore the use of sensible chemistry, so for my efforts, I would go with what makes the nicest product for the best investment - yours and the customer!
