  1. My reason for wanting to double wick is that from what I've been reading it gives a better melt pool which in turn gives a better scent throw. I was thinking that because my containers are only 10 oz. that would be better in a larger room. The eco 8 was too small so therefore I know I need togo to a larger wick for single wicking. I'm not sure what's the best way to go. Everyone has different opions. Obviously I am new to candle making and I just want to do things the right way to get the most out of the candles I make. I have been learning so much since I first started doing this it's mind boggleing.

  2. I'm a newbei and I have sampled from a lot of companies so far and found that NG FO's just don't cut it for cold or hot scent throw. Don't know if it's the soy I use Natures C3 or the wicks i use Eco. One that I thought I would like was Satin Sheets and I can't smell it at all when burning.

  3. I am thinking about double wicking and I'm not sure what size wicks to use. I am using Natures C3 soy with 6% FO in a 10 oz. square footed jar that is 2 1/2 tall, 2 1/2 wide at top opening and 3 1/4 diameter. I would like to use eco wicks can anyone tell me what size I should use. When i single wicked this container i used an eco 8.

    Thanks

  4. Thank you all for your replies. CareBear the link u gave me is excellent! It appears that Bitter Creek and Natures Garden have a lot. I have ordered from Just by Nature, Peak and several from Natures Garden. I will have to try BC. Although I am starting out small I am planning to grow in the future and would like for my candles to be perfect.... natually. This is not just a hobby for me. I am so glad I found this message board, I'm sure you will all be of much help.

  5. I've been researching over the past year with the plan of starting a small scale candle business I've decided that I like the Natures Wax (soy) C 3. It's really confusing when it comes to the FO's and I want to make great smelling candles being that I hear from people all the time that the candles they buy don't have a strong enough smell. There are soooo many distributors selling FO's I'm wondering if most of them are getting their oils from the same manufacturer, it seems as many of them carry the same names. If this is the case then I would imagine that there really isn't a difference. It's getting very expensive sampling the fo's from different companies. I would love to be able to find one company to deal with.
