  1. I have tested my "Soy Massage Candle" now for a few months. I did learn that you should be very sparingly with FO, the butters and oils mixed in the jar should all total 1.8 on your scale after the tear is calculated out. Then I mix pure EcoSoya container wax, melted in the jar mix in the FO and use PC0082's Eco-10s wicks from Candlewic.

So far I used a mix of Shea Butter, Mango Butter, Jojoba Expeller, Hemp Seed Oil, EcoSoya Wax and FO. This is my best mix yet. I have 8oz jars and they are selling well.

I will tell you that I once used the Coco Butter and wow you have to be careful with amounts since it tends to make a more oily feel, but it does absorb after continuous rubbing in. Also Olive Oil is very nice too.

I have 10 people who are my testers. I have to tell you they are loving the candle and the soft texture for their massage on their body. I have had no negative feedback yet. So off to market, and I hope it goes just as well.

Oh Hubby and I love it too. ;)

  2. I use Aroma Beads and bag them in a small mesh bag. I got my bags from PaperMart.com They have different sizes and colors. Seem very reasonable in their prices too. I live in NY and people buy them to put in cars, closets, dresser draws and bathrooms. They work well in cars whether you have your air conditioner or heater on. I tell customers to agitate them by squeezing the bag from time to time to keep the air flowing through them. I think the mesh bag works well since it's not a solid bag. One thing I noticed, some fragrances take longer to totally absorb than others. So I make sure the beads are fully absorbed and there is no liquid at the bottom of my bowl.

  3. Looking good. I wanted to know about your tables also. Are they hand made or store bought? I have a booth also and have your typically tables and I think its hard for people to look at my product. I always believe you should attract by having product at eye level and a nice flow from one thing to the next. Nice work. Hope you have much success.

  4. :yay:Nice work! Gave me an idea for my first one. My grandfather died May 07, and my mother has been really down and depressed. I want to try and make her one with my grandfathers photo on it. Something my mom can light up and think of all the good long life he lived and they shared. Thanks

  5. WOW!!!!!!! What a job. Can't believe the first one you made. It is beautiful. Since I am so new to Craft Server, I think I am going to love this. You guys (sorry) ladies, have such beautiful candles. I can't tell you how impressed I am with all the work I've seen. I hope I can learn lots and create just as beautiful work as you all have done. Looking forward to starting my own great work and posting.

Hope I don't let any one down. :tiptoe:
