  1. hello girls!!

today i was given away some of my soap and i have a few person interesting in buy my product and they ask for the name of my product and i dont know what name to use.

i sell candles, soap, lip balm and i hope in a near future cream and more natural product.

plus that i sell chocolate too!!

so i dont know what name use, or use one name for each product... so

    suggestion are accepted.

    thanks!!

  2. great idea!! thanks... but just one question if i make a bar of soap of 100gr i use 10 drops of oil, and that case how you use the three of them ?

Stearic acid works great as a hardener but just be careful as it can also take away lather. You will have to test it out in your base to see how it works for you.

Other hardeners are coconut oil, olive oil, cocoa butter. For a soft base I tend to use a combo of hardeners; co, oo, plus stearic as all three bring something to the table and give the bar more conditioning properties as well as a harder longer lasting bar.

  3. hi,

i just wonder if i can use the cocobetaine in the soap.. i am trying make cup cakes and the person that sell me the emulsificant to make the frosting use this as and activator... is that good or not...

because here the recipe that you use for the frosti is not good this is better and i could share with you.. but i need to know about the cocobetaine....

i found in google that some site said that is good another that is bad.. so i dont know what to think, i prefer the adviced from the ladys here...

    thanks

  4. thanks!!

one more question... i do have one fail soap that i did before that i want to rebatch, i put in double boiler but it did work out, because it keep hard, i forget to make it little pieces, i just did big pieces.. what else can i do to rebatch?

Oh - and for what can you do now with the one that is refusing to harden - if your mold is oven safe, you can pop it in to a preheated 170*F oven, turn the oven off and leave it over night. The heat will speed the saponification process and should get your batch to a firmer state quickly. If that fails, you can rebatch it.
  5. yes it work i made 3 different batches

1 de crisco recipe that i found here... is the better and the other one was with cocoa butter and soyoil and both are good,

what can i do with this one that is still liquid?

this is the recipe of crisco

    Easy Crisco Soap

    3 lbs. Crisco (1 can)

    6 oz. lye

Did the soap in your other batch harden? From that post and now this I am wondering if your lye is any good or if you are not getting a true trace and pouring to soon.
  6. yesteday i try the color in my soap in CP and it didnt work never get color, so i think the store didnt tell me the true because the color didnt color CP but it color MP

  7. hi,

yestedar i was making cold process and took a recipe from a site recommended here, but i had the problem that the soap is still like pure.. it doesnt not get hard..

    this is the recipe

    Simple Olive Oil Soap

    16 oz. pure olive oil

    2 oz. lye

    6 oz. water

Heat oil to 150° and add the lye to the water slowly while stirring with a wooden spoon.Mix lye solution and oils when the oil is at 120-130° and the lye between 90-100°. Mix them together until it comes to a trace. Pour it into a mold and let set 72 hours before unmolding. You can add scents, colors, herbs, etc. at trace.

please help me what can i do now?

  8. is still soft and it has 4 weeks and 3 day sin i made it. it came to trace very fast it was a little hard to put in the mold because it turn like a mashed potatoes now is still with oil around like crazying and i made another later with pure olive oil and it turn hard very quickly the next day i couldnt cut it because it was very hard. and the temperature i dont remember but i think it was a 70 we wait to get the same temperature than the oils.

2- my first cp process was fail because i dont work out, has a lot of oil around and is not hard, how can i re make this soap i dont want to lose it... my recipe was:

    250g of almond oil

    10 g de coconut oil

    500 g olive oil

    y 96.77 de sosa

    245g distilled water

i want to re make this soap please help!!!

  10. thanks for the help jackbenimble.

is in powder i will use glirecine... because with propenicol, which is use to keep the frangance longer it take about 4 or 5 days to use.

i have no more choice, because here we dont have many distributor as in the united state and a friend of mine bought from brumberry and here in customs didnt leave the product because they dont understand what mica is, and they said we need permission and a lot of stupid thing.. so we must try with what we have here.

    thanks a lot!

  11. hi,

i have a question, if i bought color that are especial use to CP.. could i use this color in MP process?

because the person in the store told me that i could use directly to the base, but it is a little hard to disolve or use propilenicol and disolve the color with that and later use in my soap base...

thanks for your advice....i dont want to make some mistake since i am a newbie in soap...
