I love them all and would love to know your tech. I have been experimenting with rustics the last week or so. I have made 5 so far. The 5th is still in the mold. I have yet to make one I like well enough to post a picture of yet. I tried something different this time, can't wait to pull it out of the mold and see what it looks like. I think that is what I like about the rustics.

I actually got these shakers at Honks $1.05 store. I am not sure if it is a national chain store or not. We also have a Dollar Tree, but I don't remember seeing any there, but I wasn't really looking.
Thank you everyone for your help and your reply's.

These are salt and pepper shakers I picked up at the dollar store. Chocolate brownie for the pepper and french vanilla for the salt. They are about 5 0z each.
OK I will post a pic as soon as I figure how to? Could someone help me here?

I have also started buying jars and containers from the dollar store. I just make sure they are not a real thin glass and so far so good. I will try to post a pic of my salt and pepper shakers I purchased from the dollar store. I also just recently purchased some other cool jars, about 24 0z, and need to test them.

I have tried lemongrass in a soy-paraffin blend (C3 and 4633) and I and two of my friends love it. I have yet to try straight soy, but I just received a new bottle of lemongrass today and I have some CB3 soy wax so maybe I will try it tonight.

I have had the same problem, but the hole does not appear until it has been burning for a short time and is not apparent after the wax cools after pouring. It is like an air pocket under the surface. I use a dowel along side my wick as it is cooling also.

I am trying to find a nice soy/paraffin blended wax for pillars. Tried my own blend of P1 soy and IGI 4625 Paraffin, but it is too brittle (lacking a better description)(looking for something softer) and doesn't burn well. Also looking for an appropriate wick. I tried a 1/0 braided wick. Thanks for any suggestions.
To blend or not to blend??

I have been using IGI 6006 from Cierra Candle and I really like it. I have been experimenting with it for about 4 months now. I have been having some wicking problems with some scents (mushrooms), but other than that it has a good scent throw and burns well. I have tried LX and RRD and zinc wicks. And Cierra's shipping is one of the lowest I have found.
