Hello! I use Ecosoya 135 CB and made some 16 oz container jar candles. Most turned out just fine, but a few of them started to burn, then they were just was burning a narrow melt pool down the middle and the wick went out from drowning in the soy wax!
It is a 100% cotton wick.
What went wrong? Anyone else experience this?
Thanks!

Thank you for your suggestions...I tried the Candle Science. I thought it was too limey. I'll try Millcreek and see how it does. Thank you for your replies!

Hello,
Does anybody know where I can find a good coconut lime verbena FO for soy? I first found the scent with Gold Canyon candles and would like a FO close to that...with not a whole lot of strong lime scent.
Thank you for any suggestions!!

Hi Mindy,
Thank you for the response! I did try two sizes of wicks and burnt both yesterday. The smaller wick candle seemed to be a little stronger. I was using C-85 and C-75 cotton core wicks in separate glass containers that are 3" wide.
Thanks so much for your help, I am trying to get some made that have a strong scent throw before Easter.

Hi,
I added 1 1/2 oz FO from Bitter Creek to 1 lb of Ecosoya Container Blend 135 Soy wax. I cured it for three days. I would like a stronger smelling candle...any suggestions?
Thanks so much!

Hello!
I had one of my soy jar candles burning yesterday, and noticed that there was black smoke coming up from the flame. What could be causing that? I trimmed the wick before burning.
Thank you!

I am located in Southern Oregon. We used to have a wholesaler here, but they went out of business.
Thank you...

Does anyone know where I could find nice glass candle containers? I wanted something that looks a little nicer than a Kerr canning jar. Something without a lid. I would like them to be at least 6 inches tall and at least 3 inches wide.
Thanks so much for your suggestions!

I would like to know why sometimes my soy wax melts completely and other times, it burns down the middle? I use Ecosoya 135 container wax in a 3-4" wide jar.
The first burn is always 3-4 hours. Do I need to burn it 3-4 hours each time I use the candle, or just the first time?
Thanks so much!
