  1. Can someone tell me what the problem was with the bad batches of 6006 wax? I think i may have purchased some.No matter what size wick i use it never reaches a melt pool over about 1.5 or 2 inches.Ive tried htp's,cd's,rrd's and cdn's of various sizes.Even after 4 0r 5 hours its still has a small melt pool.Any ideas?

  2. Im trying to double wick a large container but even if i use the smallest wicks i can find i still get a full and very deep melt pool in only about an hour or so.Im using 70/30 a mixture of j223 and pure soy with paraffin being the majority.Ive tried cd 2 and htp 31 and pure cotton 36-24-24 still no luck.Any suggestions? Thanks

  3. Im Using Glass Glow Wax In A 8 Oz Jelly Jar.ive Only Tried Htp's And Eco Wicks In Every Size They Make.when I First Light The Candle The Flame Is Really Huge And It Tunnels Down The Middle Really Fast Then It Slows Down And Almost Drowns Out.i Use 1 Oz Of Scent Per Pound Of Wax.ive Only Tried Lilac Scent From Candle Source So Far.

  4. Hi folks

Can u expect good results from making candles in very small batches?I melt only about 6 ounces of liquid wax and adjust my scent and dye for that amount. Can you expect good results like this or should you melt at least 1 pound or more of wax?Im not having very good results anyway but it could be other things too. thanks:)

  5. Hello Folks,

A newbie to candle making here with a question. After my candle gets its full melt pool the flame gets smaller and not as much scent is thrown.Ive tried several different wicks and it still does it no matter what.Im using 4630 wax in a 4 ounce hurricane votive. Its close to 2 inch diameter id say.The scent is better before i reach the full melt pool.I use 1 ounce of scent per pound.Ive used eco and htp wicks in various sizes. The container is a hurricane votive glass, Any ides?............thx
