  1. I like both. Depends on the look I'm going for.

When I ordered my Silvermoon molds, I custom ordered them to function as both. I ordered the width and length to cut 24 bars in a slab mold and deep enough to be used as a log mold that will give me 48 bars.

    24 bars in slab = 3.5"L x 2.25"W x 1 1/8" thick

    48 bars in log = 4 logs 3.5"W x 13.5"L (cut 1 1/8" thick bars)

    HTH! :grin2:

  2. Mysticglow .. how did you color yours? I couldn't make up my mind so I just started to heat my oils telling myself I would come up with something when I got to that point. Next time I may layer some natural colors because that neon orange screams a bit too bright. Isn't the scent wonderful? Really makes me drool:drool:

I left the base soap uncolored but the fragrance oil turned my soap yellow. I only added an orange swirl. I hope it changes after it gels cause I'm not digging the yellow at all. After seeing yours, my soap looks pretty drab. Making a note to add a brown swirl next time. :grin2:

  3. I haven't gotten my molds yet so can't speak to the quality of those, but the quality of Sandra's customer service is beyond spectacular.

Quality of the product is just as spectacular.

The SM molds are much thicker than the Upland mold. I still have one of the Upland 9" log molds and I can tell you that there is a big difference.

  4. Silvermoon!!!!

Excellent quality! Excellent customer service! Super fast shipping!

I've ordered from SM twice and couldn't be happier.

You can't go wrong with Silvermoon. Sandra is fantastic to work with and the molds are top notch.

  5. What size did you get? TIA

    I ordered a slab mold 14" x 15" - yields 24 bars (3.5" x 2.5")

Silvermoon will make the molds according to your specs. Just email Sandra with your dimensions and you'll get a quote back lightening fast. I think it took around 2 weeks or maybe less to get my mold.

I also want to add that the quality is superb. You will not be disappointed.

  6. Making sure I understand this trademarking thing.

I'm gearing up to re-open my business sometime towards the middle to end of this year. I have a name that I really like using my street number combined with another word. I've researched it quite a bit and have found one company that is using the name but in a line of products unlike what I will offer. As I understand it, I can use the name since my product line is different. Am I correct? I plan to trademark the name for my product line at some point. So, I want to be sure I'm right.
