I use 444 soy. What problems are you having?

I tried the exact same thing as far as setting the wick and trimmed the wick to about 1/8" above wax. I still cannot keep the wick burning. It extinguishes every time. Any suggestions of what I might be doing wrong? I use the same container as in the illustration and soy wax.

Hello, I am new to this forum and would like to say hello. I need some advice. I bought some wood wicks to use in my soy candles but I believe that the wood wicks should be cut about 1/8" from the wax. When I do that it extinguishes the flame. Has anyone else used wood wicks in their soy candles and if so can you tell me how you use them? Thank you so much!

I had the same problem with this wax as far as making votives, therefore I do not make votives. They just aren't good sellers for me but the 444 is great for container candles as it gives off a wonderful hot and cold throw for most FO's and a very smooth top. Wish I could have helped in the votive department. Good luck!
