  1. hi all

i have been doing trial and error now going on a year and have made strides however as all of us i hit a brickwall too!

my ? is has anyone mixed their waxes before such as a gb435 with some ecosoya? i must say it is the wick problems that are the toughest and all i try seem to have some flaw no matter what size container and wick size etc.

i have finally found some combos that melt candle evenly but then they mushroom horribly and fall into the melted wax in the candle container so like how do you win! any insight to wax combining i am curious to hear and any wick experiences for some insight would be welcome. i still have months of trial and errror to go and it is starting to get costly but i am still passionate to create the best i can!!!! thanks in advance for your replies and HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL

  2. Michi

I thank you for your support and being 50 and widowed at a young age thought i had heard it all......beyond reproach??? and i am so relieved to know one believes their personality is so balanced and know I realize specifically why she declines accepting e mail which is in fairness her choice and I will end it at that. So Michi may I ask what is your forte and what type of candlemaking do you do? I virtually was a Yankee Candle lover and only Yankee candle until I was introduced to soy. I have been pouring for 6 months and have so much to still learn and get so much pleasure when i produce a good batch. I also decorate and personalize containers to ones character, likings and personality..Ex: just did centerpieces for baby shower and to see peoples reaction and joy on their faces makes it all worth it and the pleasure it may give someone who otherwise may not be given the recognition they deserve ex:the elderly as a birthday gift with awesome susan branch birth day stickers.. a candle is a gift with many underlying powers. I also do card making which i have been doing forever, thats me and what about you? what floats your boat???

  3. i thank both you ladies for your response and i willmake sure i dont repeat my questions and i apologize to you terease for my ignorance and my lack of computer savy and familiarity to using these type of web sites and i am sorry i dont have the expertise that you may possess in directing and posting my questions and i also thank you for bringing that to my attention and everyone who may have observed my entries, way to go tereasa and perhaps it was not your intent but you for 1 second made me feel stupid and it has only reinforced my tolerance of others who may be less verse in certain venues than myself and how i will be humble of that and their feelings

  4. i am going to order one or the other tonight but having a hard time deciding because the ez wick looks technical which i am not and the bow tie looks simple as can be. the cost is secondary, i am looking for the easiest and most accurate and looking to the experts and more experienced users HHHEEELPPPP and thanks, i so enjoy being part of this experience and cant wait till i can give some good advice out to a novice !!!!!!!

  5. hi

what wax did you use b4? Where did you get your recent wax from and what made it so much better 4 u? I am so glad you are so happy, it is exciting when u acheive a successful pour, i have been doing it for 8 mths and learn new things daily and find new mistakes too!!, but love it so much and nothing like pumpkin scent!!!! I also prefer the 10 oz apothecary clear jars and seldom vary and i also decorate the container for all occasions or personalize them which is very rewarding. let me know how it goes for you !!

  6. i have tried the eco soyas and gb415 and didnt like ecosoyas and did fine with gb415 but the trouble comes with the proper wicking to use which can change based on what scent and or dye you use, that is where alot of the testing and frustration comes in for me and i am still testing, i have been doing it for only 6 mths and learn something new each day and still have a way to go , you can buy 10 lb portions which may be a good way to test 3 or 4 different ones b4 buying large quantity..good luck and be patient
