  1. Thanks so much Nancy. Actually, it's gold metallic dip with a dip in black to make a mocha brown color. I have been carving the candlefun way for about a year mostly unity candles. I taught myself about 6 years ago by surfing the web and watching people make them at craft fairs, etc. I was just fascinated with it and was determined to learn it.

I know you will do great at festival. Are you going to carve there also? Best of luck!! Enjoy!

  2. Candlefun technique is where the candles are placed on a carving rack that you can flip over and make the cuts in different directions. The core candle has a long plastic tube in the middle where you put the candle oil. It's just so much easier to carve. He even has cd's that shows you have to do this. I love it! Thank you!!

  3. Has anyone had any electric candle warmers that smell really bad when you first use them? I mean they really smell horrible. I sold 5 of them yesterday and went to bring them some additional items and when I walked in the door they had the candle warmer turned on and I was thinking, that could not be my candle wax. It was that warmer. I did contact the company who sold them to me and they told me it was the solder burning off but the warmes are safe. They said it would burn off in a few minutes but it took alot longer to quit smelling. It still has a faint odor to it. I burned mine about 5 hours. I was just wondering if you had any complaints like this. I just started using the warmers in my business and I don't want it to affect my sales. I got these at a really great price. Could just have been a bad batch of warmers they received. :(

  4. I am researching wax and was wanting to know if anyone has purchased any of the Taylored Wax for containers and which one they consider is the best. They have 3 or 4 different kinds and I am at a loss. I am currently using the GL 70/30 that I had for awhile but just don't have anymore. (getting back into the business). I can go pick up the wax since it's in Dallas so I can save on shipping. Any suggestions of from here or any type of wax like the GL 70/30 would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!! :)

  5. I'm considering making tarts in a 2 ounce soufle cup (the kind you get from Sam's Wholesale) and was wondering if I had to spray the cups with pam or some type of release. Also, where can I purchase the electric warmers at a decent price? Or do you sell your tarts without the warmers? I would think you should have the electric warmers to sell along with the tarts but I know this can become costly.

I saw a lady selling these at Canton, Texas and her booth was BUSY.....

    Thank you!! :)
