Forgive me for being dumb, but I made waxed dipped ornies for potpourri. I made a cinnamon mixture recipe up & used cookie cutters. I bake these & then after cooling, dipped them in tinted fragrance wax.
It sounds like the aroma ornies are made different?? Are these something new?

It's probably the after Christmas burnout we all go through! What really gets me going is trying out new things. Right now, it's the woodwicks and electric candles I'm absorbed in!

I have got to the point that the only wax I use for candles is the Ecosoya Advanced. It holds the color well & the scent throw is wonderful. With the wood wicks, because they burn hotter, the throw is even stronger.

Nothing yet, no soot either , but still early!

I actually have been testing for the last few days & I must say that so far, so good. The wicks are lighting easily & staying lit - throw is excellent! I'm using Ecosoya Advanced.

Thanks, appreciate the advice. The few I've tried seemed to burn very quickly, but you're right, the scent throw was great. Thanks again!

Hi Everyone!
I really want to start making woodwick candles & would like to know if any of you have made them :undecided? If so, how did you fastened the wicks in the jars - like conventional wicks? Also, do they burn faster than regular wicks?
I would appreciate any help you can give!
Thank You!

Hi to Everyone!
I'm new to the community & need your help. I've been making soy container candles for about 3 yrs. I love the primitive containers with rusty lids & I've seen jar candles in the primitive craft shops that look almost like the jar might have been coated with a brown coloring different than the candle color to make them look old or rustic. Is anyone following me or am I not making sense!
Does anyone know how to get this look?? I will be forever grateful as I'm getting ready for the fall craft shows!

I got mine from soapandthings.com. They definitely are treated with something & have almost a plastic feel and look to them. They do have to be trimmed down to the wax, maybe that's the secret ?
