  1. Many thanks for the replies! I bought a wax tart making kit to start me off & have been following the instructions that I got with it (apart from using the thermometer, as I have broken 3 of them to date, they were glass & very fragile!) I haven't checked that the oils were right for soy wax, but they were the same ones, that came with the kit, that I have continued to use, and the recommended weights were to 1lb of wax, 43mls (1.5oz) of f.o. I think part of the problem may have been not stirring enough, when I added the scent?

  2. I have been making wax tarts for a short while & although I am using good quality, uncut oils, I don't think that the scent throw is always great. I am using soy wax and adding the max. amount of scent to each batch, but I have to confess I am not checking the temperature of the wax, I just let it melt, add the colouring, then let it cool a little bit and add the scent, then pour....can someone please point out what I may be doing wrong....I would really appreciate help with this.

  3. Hi again....Sorry for confusion!! bought my domain name from Godaddy.com, can't remember how much exactly, but not very much, and the $7 per month covers everything. The website is set up with Wahms...I hadn't a clue how to go about setting it all up, so a friend who has her site with Wahms set mine up for me & did the template etc. just as I wanted it. It is so easy to add products to, and for anything technical there is a great support forum ( AND MY FRIEND!) Hope this helps...Caz:highfive:

  4. Your candles look fantastic, but I think they have a rustic look to them & they would look great on a homespun fabric background, or a fabric in a deeper shade than you have used. I like the idea of stepping them the way you have to display them....looks good & you could use fixins amongst your display for interest!:highfive:
