I think Salt works kind of like an Alpha-Hydroxy Acid. It is just milder. Sugar is great too and is even milder. They help break down the dry, dead skin so you can rinse it off, revealing the softer skin underneath. This may not be the most appealing analogy but if you think about it, salt is used as a meat tenderizer because it breaks down the fibers in the meat making it more tender to chew. Sorry, not a good image I know but it gets the point accross. I make Sugar Scrubs and use them as my primary cleanser most of the time (they taste great too). Smiles...Jane

Try mixing a little sea salt in with your soap craps before putting them in the bags. It adds skin softening properties. Jane

Hi Everyone, I contacted the seller on eBay for these cartons and she said that as long as a glue gun or heat gun is used to close the cartons correctly, a small amount of oils are fine and that a liner bag is not really necessary. She said that her bath salt recipe has about 3 Tbs of Oils per 16 oz.

Anyone tried putting there bath salts and such in milk style cartons? I saw someone at a craft show that was using them and they looked so cute. Can anyone tell me where to get them? I would appreciate it. Thanks. Jane.
