I use C3 wax and have been using UV inhibitor. After I ordered some of the stabilizer but before I try it, is it even needed? What are it's benefits?While I was down I got to thinking about this? Let me know.

If anyone uses the metallic thread for hang tags check micheals craft store the ones in Wichita is clearancing them and I got them for 25 cents per pack reg 1.49. Haven't posted in quite a while so just wanted to say Hey! Been down with diabetic issues. Finally back on my feet!!

One on the Wally World's here in town has completely removed it's craft and fabric department. I talked to a freind of mine who is the manager of the craft department at another Wally World and she tells me that her store will also close her department. How can you have a Wally World with out a fabric & craft dept?

I tried Strawberry jam from BC and it has a Yummy smell. I used c3 wax rrd47 in 8oz jelly jar. And I let it cure for 2 weeks before I tested it. My stepdaughter snagged my other 8oz and burned it the next day after I poured it. She liked it fine. I have just got in the habit of curing 2 weeks before I test burn. Boy is it hard to wait!

I rechecked my container it is 3" deep and measures 4" diameter the walls are 1/2" thick straight sides it was a parafin it had 3 wicks but I just wanted to try 2 wicks I love this container, it is so plain but classy at the same time if that makes sense. I just hate seeing it holding potpouri. It needs to be a candle again. Now how goofy is that. Hubby tells the dogs to look out she'll figure how to get make candles out of them! They are safe for now I don't have anything big enought to dip 2 Labs in!!

Where do you start, I did check the archives and maybe I just missed it. I use c3 soy and I have a 2'' round 6'' diameter container to play with. I have rrd47 & htp83 & htp104 wicks. This is just for my own fun.

Thanks for the concerns. Yes I could cancel, but I won't. I have but alot of thought & prayer into this reply. Here are my reasons 1. I have worked very, very hard and not just for the time I have been posting. I have learned things here that I could not on my own.2. I have used The KISS method (Keep It Simple Stupid) my FO selection is not large around 10, I have documented each pour, each size, each test burn each fragrance. each cure rate. each wix size. You name and it has propably been written down. Which I will continue as I add FO's. 3 My business plan is in order, right down to the insurance. Lastly This is something I enjoy and am good at, and I will only get better.:smiley2:

I just got the call I have been approved for my first fundraiser. The neighbors are convinced I have lost my little mind BIG WOMAN doing BIGGER HAPPY DANCE right on the front porch.Thank God my bladder is good LOL. This is the childcare where my granddaughter goes. 50 children + teachers with excellent products to sell. Pastor is waiting on results may want to do church fundraiser. YIPPEE!!!

What I have started doing is using a wooden screwer and when wax is cooling I run that down beside the wick and poke holes about 4 between the wick and edge of jar. For me this helps but I still have to zap em with a heat gun, i am still learning

Thar is good to know. I was concerned because there was nothing about what type of plastic it was. Oh Well I will use them for something with out FO. I also found treat bags with little twist ties, I think that they are cello will that be better?

The rrd47's seem to work good in the 8 oz jelly (after I calmed myself down and took some deeps breaths) I was testing in the kitchen where i pour and no wonder I couldn't smell them:shocked2: . Moved my testers to basement and bathroom big difference. Still not what I want in the 16 oz wide mouths. So my bigger wicks are coming and I melt and repoured to the 8 oz jellywith the rrd 47's. Thanks for all the encouragement and tips.

I found 100 zip type bags in the craft section 4" x6" for 1.67 I have made up corn cob sachets in organza bags for a local market. I hope this is a good price and just wanted to share.

Ok when I am wrong I admit it. I have been using rrd47 wicks with regular mouth and wide mouth masons, I can't get the stupid things to throw. Wonderful cold throw, nice melt pool, no fragrance. I have cured 2 weeks. I am frantic. I was having a way too good time pouring. Like the doofus I tend to be I put the wicks in with stickums. Now I have way too many candles that are of no use. No not just a few we are talking a bunch!! what The heck do I do NOW HELP!!!! If I remelt will it affect the FO's, I use C3 can I make tarts clams shells or something useful with this MESS.

P.S. I am ordering different wicks
